I wish I could get out and about! Can only travel a mile in any direction and while I am thankful to not have any damage there are a lot of people in need of assistance. I was at 92 and tidwell earlier and there was a lady with a sick child trying to get to the hospital and She could not get there. If you live over off of 92 and sweetwater church you are contained in this area. can't get to Cobb, Douglas,Carroll or Hiram. I hope the rain that is coming in from Alabama stays WAY North of us to allow the water to recede so people (Emergency Personnel) can get around.

Been out in this all night. The # to PCSO is 770-443-3010 currently PCSO is not taking any volunteers and the best thing to do is physically check on your neighbors! PCSO told me to check back later as that might change. I have met a few new neighbors! also if you live between Baker's Bridge and Hwy 92 (Sweetwater Church side) and need some help give me a call 770-833-2175 as I am stuck in that quadrant but am mobile. Been out of power since 5 am and power was just restored about 10 minutes ago.

Let me strap a lightning rod on my arse first! Seriously, just got off of the phone with pubby and he was unaware of all the activity going on in our community and I believe we might go and see if we can't be of assistance.

I hope the wind remains calm or you are correct about the trees coming down. With this much rain the ground is really saturated. Damn... just lost signal really coming down and the lightning is rather intense thunder too!

the sad thing about this is your homeowner's insurance won't cover flooding unless you have purchased flood insurance. (pipes break from freezing that is another thing)
