Clearwater has done all my repairs at home and in business for years. Skyline has also done all my septic tank maintenance for many years. Because of my satisfaction with Clearwater, I have not used Skyline for plumbing work. I know both owners to be outstanding businessmen and long term dependable members of our local community.

I wonder what kind of guns the good old boys in TN had yesterday evening when the convicts with the guards stolen guns surrendered to them?
-
More importantly, where I might most likely respect the reasoning and instructions of a no gun or knife, speed limit or stop sign... How will the average thug, criminal or convict most likely respect them?
-
Actually I do... I got the idea of "Our Tellers May Be Armed" signs, from when I was out west and saw little "No Tolerance" signs below the Speed Limit signs. NO ONE was speeding.

I had a thought this morning. When the 2 convicts who are accused of murdering the 2 guards on the bus are found. The responding law enforcement officers will be under intense pressure to protect the convict's civil rights. I wonder if the responding officers encounter the convicts in a Gun Free Zone, will the convicts lay their victims guns down, ensuring they do not violate a Gun Free Zone sign? I laugh every time and walk in my bank and see the sign instructing no guns and knives are allowed. I've often thought a little note below "Our Tellers May Be Armed" might be more effective.

I don't think I've ever been in a bathroom at Target. We don't shop there often because they usually don't have what I'm looking for at the time. Target is one of the places on my "Visit once a year hoping it got better" list. We've done real good with WalMart's Saving Catcher program. Probably every week or so we get money back because Target had an item or 2 on sale we got at WalMart.

Our appraised value went up $50,000+. Even getting the exemption for being retired for the first year, our total bill will be going up about $275.00. My only hope is the Millage Rate will go down & from what I am hearing there's little hope of that.

Explosion in Manchester, England, at Ariana Concert
mojo413 replied to stercus tauri's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I saw a letter where she says she's coming back to Manchester to do a benefit concert to help the victims. She says music heals us and brings us together. Maybe ISIS won't kill and injure her fans this time around. -
Jenilyn & DVbP, I've got to respect your experience over mine. I've never dealt with either of your situations in life. Someone once said something to the effect of "Our personalities are made up of everything we've experienced, done, been exposed to, seen, heard or encountered... Up to this point". I have a good friend who is a single parent of an almost adult autistic child and it's been an honor to see how my friend interacts with his son. His son has progressed tremendously since I met them in 2010. I've had very limited exposure with our 4th branch. Those few times it seemed to me t

I can't help but wonder if the teachers are guilty of intentionally treating this child terribly wrong or are the teachers guilty of being stupid? Also I wonder if the mother is really looking to change behaviors and policies or she searching out attention from the news media? I would hope if this happened to my child I would discuss it one on one with an administrator so as to not bring additional attention to my child's disability.

For years I knew Surepip here on PCom only by our PCom post. We agreed on most subjects, and if we didn't It was not for long. But we did not personally know each other. When a nasty poster hinted they knew my real identity I added my name & phone number to my PCom signature. Thad almost immediality called me. That call lasted about 2 hours till his phone died. I will always remember my friend Surepip as a true friend. The last few times we spoke during the past few weeks Thad always ended the call with a story. I can't tell it as good a Surepip, but I will try... 2 life long elderly budd

My heart goes out to this family. I knew Surepip here on PCom for years, but I never met him personally till the Airport deal became public. I'm a better man today because the Surepip family befriended me.

Support for same sex marriage highest rate ever
mojo413 replied to stercus tauri's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I mentioned the other day I was getting blood work done at my doctors office and a couple were making out in the chairs across from us. She looked a good many years older than he. They both seemed to not realize they were in a public place. I chose not to label them a May to December couple since my Dad was 27 years older than my Mom. Still I felt terribly out of place only being about 4' from them. It just seems to me as a society immediately satisfying our own urges and desires has become more important than having any common curtesy or decently towards others. When is the last time you hear -
When is Facebook going to do something to stop this?
mojo413 replied to Brian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I always cut off anything that bothers me. So if Facebook addresses this or not, it makes no difference to me. -
Thank you for the update. I pray this will be the 3rd or 4th time Surepip proves the doctors wrong.

I just heard from Mrs Surepip "They have him stablized. They are about to do a broch to clean his lungs out". And while I am typing this, she texted to say she is with him now.

Paulding County Sheriff Kingdom Kutz Barber Shop

I never went there. I often saw their signs on 92 and assumed the name expressed they were representing a godly lifestyle. It now sounds like my impression was terribly wrong. -
I got this message earlier this morning. I tried to load it as soon as I got it, but I've got very little internet service here. I did change the names to their PCom names... "Good morning, Surepip fell Thursday night and broke his leg just above the ankle. It's a compound fracture...the bone came through. Cobb is doing surgery this morning about 10: Please say a prayer for him. Mrs Surepip".

You typed "Remember it was only about 40 years ago that it was still illegal to for men to have sex with other men. And remember the lynchings of gay men? Maybe the assaults of gay people still happening today? Islamists aren't the only people that kill and attack gays." Who says what those 10 country's influnce will have on the US in 40 years. Personally I think harming and killing other people because they don't share the same beliefs is terrible human rights violations.

This whole transgender thing has me confused. When I was a little boy we boys played Cowboys & Indians and we played in the dirt with trucks. If a little girl came to play, fine. Of course if we went to the little girls home we were expected to play "Tea Party". No one got upset, we were just kids. And we ALL knew were were not supposed to play Doctor behind closed doors. Then Bruce Jenner comes to mind. I read Bruce recently had "Realignment Surgery?". I wonder if Bruce is now attracted to men or women? I intend on not offending anyone referring to Bruce, because I might misspell his

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will retire following the 2017 NASCAR season
mojo413 replied to Brian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I was a Dale Jr fan from the time when he first started the Cup Series. The last year or so I've been really disappointed with his performance. It just seemed to me he had became more or a fair spokesman than a top notch competitive racer. His announced retirement was easy for me to accept. It makes me feel old to see guys who I thought of a young guns now retiring. I am excited with some of the new ones coming on the scene, especially Chase Elliott.
