When we were vacationing in Alaska it seemed there was a drive in coffee shop on every street corner. They all seemed to be doing a brisk business. Also while eating next door to our new drive in Coffee Shop this morning, we saw grading activity on the lot facing 61 behind the Waffle House. One of our waitress’s customers, girl friends, friends Mama told us it’s going to be a new Windy’s.

Years ago we would go eat at the Restaurant at Red Top Mountain. Wonder if it’s still open?

Paulding.com is under NEW Ownership! effective 7.1.2019
mojo413 replied to Caped Crusader's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I realized this morning I’m enjoying the New Paulding.Com. For years I had my settings set to see topics discussed in the last 24 hours. When that setting got down to only showing 4 or 5 topics, I changed it to show topics discussed in the past week. When that setting only showed 4 or 5 topics discussed in the last week, I changed it to show topics discussed in the last 2 weeks. Just prior to the unveiling of the New Paulding.Com, I was down to approaching 10 topics shown for the past 2 weeks. Already I’ve changed my setting back to show topics discussed in the past week and there are 23 topic -
There is a Paulding.com Facebook page that is almost dormant. It has 1,900+ members. Can it and this page be linked?

I don’t know anything about this subject. However while walking through the Dallas Kroger this morning with my wife, a “Meatless Meat” section in the big coolers caught my attention. The pictures on the cartons did look appetizing. Maybe it’s time I started considering a “Meatless Meat” venture.

You’ve convinced me to try it this weekend. I can’t stand those new coke machines. I always get behind someone who spends 10 minutes trying to figure out how to make a new exotic soft drink, while I only need a little ice for my water.

And SO close to the Fred’s Tunnel Portal. It just can’t get any better.

I’m excited. I see this as an opportunity to draw tax dollars in from West Cobb. I don’t see it hurting Sam’s in Hiram, they will still bring in Tax dollars from Powder Springs and Austell.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! -
I’ve read in several forums the Fed’s have taken the gentlemen charged into custody and these gentlemen are not housed in the local Gulledge Hilton, so it seems to me just on these facts, this discussion falls into the Political Forum description.

I had heard and read that movie stars are boycotting Georgia. But then later I saw only a few, especially a couple I’ve never heard of before are actually boycotting us. One was “Tiffany Somebody”. I can’t help but wonder if an out of work actor / actress actually feels better about themselves when they say they are “boycotting Georgia”, instead of saying “I’m pursuing all my options (which might be code for my work has run dry)”?

Black folks riot in Memphis after police shooting
mojo413 replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I never understood rioters burning & destroying their own neighborhood. Sort of like Auburn rolling their own downtown with toilet paper before a game. If I were going to roll, burn or destroy somewhere... it certainly would not be my own neighborhood. But then again Im in a protected class of people. No longer are we Rednecks and Hillbillys. Since its now Politically Incorrect to bully us with those labels, we are now to be referred to as Appalachian Americans. -

Last time I was pulled over was 6 or 7 years ago where the speed limit is 45 in Paulding County then drops to 35 at the Cobb County line. I was pulled over by the Cobb Officer because the radar gun pointed at my truck showed I was doing 47 in a 35. I immediately pulled over as soon as I saw the officers blue lights come on and him move to do a u turn then come after me. By time he stopped behind me I had shut my truck off, rolled my window down, placed both hands on steering wheel and I greeted him “Good afternoon Officer”. I asked his permission to get my license out of my back pants pocket a -
Just like in WWII, I believe the world is a safer place today and tomorrow with a strong United States of America.

Our son treated us for our anniversary at Bone’s Steak House last year. The experience was outstanding.

I read on Facebook Step Son stabbed his Step Mother. Also saw a couple pictures of police cars outside the house and in the street. I’m so thankful we all get along. We had a quiet family dinner last night. No cussing, cutting or shooting.

I tried 770-684-5153 and its no longer in service. I wonder what happened to the beautiful red 57 Chevy?

If I remember correctly Frontier is just out of downtown and the Steak House is out on the other side of Rockmart from Dallas going towards Cedartown. Both were good, we havent been to either in several years. Havent been back because I forgot both. Since youve reminded me, its time for us to head back that way.

I agree, very well said. Best I ever heard that represents my feelings. I just couldn’t put it into words. This brings back to memory, I worked with a guy in SC more than 30 years ago. He and his wife were very much in agreement with what you’ve said here. She was expecting and at about 3 or 4 or 6 months (I can’t remember the time line now) they found out the little boy had terrible, terrible, terrible health issues, where if he survived birth he would be in terrible agony, plus put the mother in terrible risk. They agreed to induce labor, she delivered the little guy, he survived only minute

Agreed. I don’t carry a gun. But if by chance someone were to follow this 65 year old through a Home Depot or WalMart being aggressive and not get off me... I can think of lots of items I could use to protect myself. I’ll bet Round Up In the eyes or a gallon of paint to the head or a golf club to the crotch might work nicely.

I noticed that too. I have also noticed in the last year or so when the name of a person involved in a crime or accident is posted, many on social media complain loudly that the name(s) should not have been reported. It seems to me the authorities and media are wrong if they post names and they are wrong if they don’t post names.

I was not surprised when I heard it happened at our Home Depot. I can’t remember ever leaving that store happy. It seems after all these years Home Depot would have addressed and fixed the terrible customer service in this store. I live 4 miles away and 7+ miles from the West Cobb Lowes & Home Depot. 95% of the time I will drive the extra distance to West Cobb knowing they will have what I want to buy. The other 5% of the time I’m in a rush and I foolishly think “This Time My Luck Will Be Better”, then when I leave mad I think “John After 65+ Years, You Still Haven’t Learned The Definition

Trump says water tankers need to be used on Notre Dame Fire

America is Great. We get to think for ourselves. In many other nations our opinions would be silenced by those who are intolerable to differing opinions. TRUMP 2020!!!
