  1. Please there are plenty of lurkers waiting in the wings you will hardly be missed, lets mosey on over and jump on the school folks Ya know LR started it by posting the hot fudge sunday and getting our harmones pumping
  2. Thanks for the It could be worse, I could be fighting for my life in the bus thread
  3. Yes I totally get it and I am going to let the bashers have this one. I feel confident in what I was doing. I was at risk the entire way home camera or no camera. I drive this hwy every day and have for going on 20 years, I never take this drive lightly on the best of days because I have seen mind boggling things. I have had friends and neighbors die on it, the things I saw today were not out of the ordinary at all. I knew to have the camera on and ready, I was more surprised that I did not see more. My odds of dying or being seriously injured up here were increased very little a
  4. I beg to disagree, my concentration level was very high. I was very aware of everything going on around me, that is how you know when to turn it on. When you see people going faster than they should for road conditions, you know all you have to do is turn it on and you are going to capture something. So I guess nobody in this thread sips a soda answers the cell phone glances in the rear view mirror. I captured dump trucks that regularly were passing vehicles on this hwy at speeds over 80 mph on solid yellow lines, because I anticipated what was going on, you simply push a button s
  5. If you watch he nailed it so hard he almost lost control;, it was a blind hill. on snow and ice. He was showing out, I had a lot of room between me and the fire truck, it looks like less because I had the zoom on and was about to turn the camera off because I was approaching a very hilly area, I was surprised to say the least.
  6. Thank you, I drive left handed all the time anyway, my right was messed up when a drunk driver hit me years ago. I hardly ever put my right hand on the wheel.
  7. I did have the zoom on! Maybe that made it look scarier. It was not scary at all, I was going slow so I was not worried. I mean sheeze how hard is it to drop a camera, I have plenty of dropping the camera edited out PWWA it is beat up on Lppt night You know the bigger the engine, the harder the compression, I was doing 10 mph in about 7 seconds, you have driven the beast.
  8. I knew better than to drive on the dang slush! What can I say an adrenaline junky! I really was only doing about 30 or 35 down hill.
  9. The burban is almost as big as a firetruck He did leave me in the dust just after I stopped taping. I am good like that
  10. Yep! I was in second gear doing about 35mph, I never hit my brakes,I knew I would not have to, the jerk of the camera was shock when I let off the gas. Hey walking down the driveway was scarier, you are holding the camera on the dash and because you are viewing through a screen it is more like your peripheral vision in the rear view mirror. Standing on the dam to bring you guys the video during the floods was actually more nerve wracking, Johnnyj wouldn't go near it! Show a little appreciation for the risk I take to bring you guys cool video! DANG!!
  11. It was excellent, I am so proud of Pubby, JMT, and the Paulding Business Association that helped Pubby set up and assist with the technical set up. The candidates were well prepared also. I wish you could have made it, I know how much you wanted to. I watched from home also as I live in the hills in N.Paulding. Pubby worked very hard on this.
  12. I was unwisely video taping while driving home under very dangerous conditions. I have learned my lesson, I will no longer video while driving. I would like to apologize to all the people I endangered in the taping of this video and solemnly promise to never do anything while driving again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MR_DuPCsR28
  13. Good for you Glenn! We have freezing slush and it is dangerous.
  14. The debate is still going. I think it will be a hard choice for the voters in the district. These are 3 very good guys, a shame we can't elect and send all 3.
  15. Especially as a candidate supporter.
  16. You do not have to be a registered member of p.com to chat in Livestream. I was getting a little worried they were getting uummm well you know what I mean. The debate is very good!
  17. I can't believe people are in the chat insulting the way the candidates look, how immature
  18. Watching the candidates debate live! JMT is doing an excellent job!
  19. I want to smack you about right now
  20. Have you heard back from him yet? I can pm you his no. if you need it.
  21. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!! Those little numbers on your gear shift indicator are not for decoration. They are for these types of conditions. It is called down shifting, the lower the gear the slower, engine compression will slow you down when you take your foot off the gas. You will not have to use your brake on hills. I drove home in all 3 and was easily able to stop in time for a fire truck pulling out. The guy behind me hit the slush, he was unable to slow his vehicle, he stopped just short of a utility pole,
  22. Don't worry! I just got the recorded version up! Now I am off to get some video of stupid drivers playing in the snow!
  23. Sorry folks we are down, I am rendering the video of the snowman.
