  1. The number and address would be appreciated also.
  2. I am seeing efforts towards turning a lot of that around. I also realize that the infrastructure takes time and money Had we seen these steps taken 10 years ago we would be realizing this now, but we took a different direction, so we are just now starting. We are set when it comes to residential and retail, now all of our energy and resources can go to the industrial growth that is needed. I heard a rumor that many years ago the powers that be did not want industrial growth here, so many chose to go to polk and Bartow where they were welcomed. We may even have to give tax breaks
  3. I think your perspective really depends on your life experiences. I could give you my opinion based on my life experiences up to this point. But I believe if I rolled down the front steps in the morning or my husband suffered a heart attack tomorrow that my perspective might change very rapidly. Sometimes having a place to share your thoughts is a good thing. Not agreeing is also fine. Getting really mad, being ugly and calling names, not so good
  4. I just bought some more Dahlia, I have this one plus the pink cactus type. The new ones are orange and yellow. Walmart had a great deal 3 bulbs to a pack for 5.00 I can't wait!!
  5. I know some of you never listen to the p.com news you like to get your news from Atlanta. We have covered the airport progress in the past. The state of the county from Chairman Austin is on there also. Most of the address is about economic development in our county. About not only the progress of the airport, but the hospital and the rail spur and the widening of 92. I can honestly feel compassion for those that the airport is disturbing. Well it is a basket of lemons thats for sure, but how about some lemonade, petition to have your place rezoned. A bed and breakfast ma
  6. We chose to live here 19 years ago, we had choices. We fell in love with the people. The county was small back then and there was a question of if we could support ourselves. We are an hour from the mountains, 4 from the beach, we live in the country but have shopping close. We can choose to go to the city but don't most of the time. Our family is 6 hours away, our kids think of the area as home. We have everything we need, good people, neighbors, family, jobs. We love our home and have plenty of time to sit on it until we get older and need something on one level. I can
  7. We are watching diligently, not letting the dogs out by themselves. We know that his range is probably pretty big, he will be back so we are watching and waiting.
  8. We don't make lemonade in this country anymore, we ask for some cheese to go with that whine

Just how important is it to some folks? How important might it be to you in the future? to your family. Do you open your door to 100's of strangers every day? sit down and share your life with them for hours. Would you carry a device that recorded your every move and upload it to the world? How about access to your bank accounts, credit cards. bills? I carry the same name as hundreds of people in this country. How would you know who I am exactly? Well you would maybe look for my maiden name, my place of birth, my siblings name, my children's names. Perhaps I will d
  10. You know there are many industries that market products to our schools, maybe we need to start taking a very long hard look at who is allowed to market to our BOE's and are we getting the most for our money. Is there enough healthy competition in this part of education to get the most for the taxpayers dollar? Are we paying through the nose for text books and work books because they know they have the business? Books, supplies, athletic equipment, desk, chairs, tables. even waste paper baskets. Do the new buses have bells and whistles that could be done without? Are we getting the
  11. I will wait for the bus driver to wave me around as I stated. Let me explain why I do this, I have many times seen the bus drop kids off in the opposite direction that I am traveling, they unload and head up or down the street. Many times the bus has started to pull away and low and behold the kid has walked 20 feet up the street and decided to cross over to a friends house. I can not see these kids until the bus pulls far enough past me to have a full view. What harm is there in waiting until the lights are out and the bus begins to roll, we are talking a few seconds. I have als
  12. We watched their return from the courthouse along with many emotional Paulding county citizens. This video begins at the 12 minute mark on the slider.
  13. Nope and don't go around it unless I am waved to, I face this scenario almost every day in my neighborhood. I think when you act in a way that shows no consideration for the possibility of unforeseen circumstances when it comes to children and buses you need at the very least a warning. Maybe I am just a weirdo, I always wait for the bus to move when the flashers stop even at the railroad crossings.
  14. I always wait until it moves, maybe it is just me but I have seen both scenarios of the bus rolling before the lights are stopped and the lights stops and it still sitting at a bus stop. I do not proceed until I see both. A stop sign would be different. But if that bus stops at a bus stop I stop except for a divided hwy. I don't consider a turn lane to be a divider.
  15. Just how much freedom will we sacrifice for a false sense of security against the bad people of the world. I seem to remember a different viewpoint when it comes to the right to bear arms.
  16. We will let you know if we get desperate. We have no problem with them preying on other wildlife, but we are concerned with the behavior of this one. He is very brave and seems determined.
  17. Until one reads the article you will not know the point of it. I will never read the article. From what I understand these types of mental diseases are incurable pics or no pics. They will create their own entertainment, belief and vigilance is a necessary evil when it comes to being aware. It was extremely painful to graphically describe to my children what mentally ill people would do to them. I made believers of them, and instilled a healthy fear and respect for the real world. The word bad does not begin to describe it.
  18. I still read it as you don't move until that bus moves, giving them plenty of room and a safety margin.
  19. You know I hate pictures of holocaust victims, I have seen them, but now refuse to look at documentaries that contain them. They serve a purpose in keeping the memory and outrage fresh. Each generation that comes of age is exposed to them lest we forget. I am sure survivors hate them more than I do, but they would not want us to forget that evil exist. Nor to not guard against it and vehemently demand vigilance and justice.
  20. I believe there are a lot of teen girls that spent spring break in Florida that wish the privacy laws were stricter also. You simply can not have it both ways, you do not want terrorist to have privacy laws applied to them but you want someone to make the judgment that you are a good law abiding citizen and apply them to you. My sympathies are certainly with this family, but we are talking law here. The law will not prevent morbid curiosity. It will be abused by judges and lawyers.
  21. For those of you that are appalled at the idea I totally understand. But screaming and crying for less government and legislation in your life, then turning around and crying for more when you are offended just don't fly. Offending people is no crime, the family is not forced to buy or look at publications, nor is anyone else. This is market driven just like burning buildings on the 5 o:clock news. If you don't like, then walk and talk with your money. Horror films bring in Millions because people like looking at gore real or not. Where does the law stop? making it a crime to
  22. There is the bewbie hugging side of me then there is the other The coyote is the on the other side
  23. Note and such driver shall not proceed until the school bus resumes motion or the visual signals are no longer actuated. Resumes motion, the kid may have been a little quick on the go. A lesson in using the proper caution and respect when it comes to school buses. As I said I never move until the school bus begins to pull off after turning the lights off. I have seen buses roll with signals still on and have seen them sit a few seconds after they are turned off. The vagueness in this more than likely allows for the behavior of children and strives to enforce that everyone procee
