  1. I have heard that there will be a lot of them. We also will not have to deal with long waits because the parking at the airport itself will fill up early and they won't let folks down there after parking is full.
  2. I have to say the twilight show was exhilarating. I am very excited about attending my first ever air show.
  3. The airport has a very small parking lot this is the only paid parking the rest is free. I expect this lot to fill up immediately. I would suggest if you are early go to pool elementary, catch a shuttle. Carry some chairs with you or a blanket for the ground. Honestly the roadside parking will be a hike if you park on the service rd. Those catching a shuttle will have shorter walks. The ticket sales on the website are done. You pay at the gate the day of $12.00 per person I think children are 1/2 that. I think the cost is very reasonable.
  4. Paramedics don't need to talk about what they see at crime scenes. There was a horrible accident were a child hung himself a few years ago. People that claimed paramedics had talked about a crime scene, created a horrible rumor, too horrible to put in print.
  5. Parking On-site paid parking is available at the Paulding-Northwest Atlanta Airport for guests. Parking cost is $10.00 per car/truck; there is no RV/Bus parking available on site. The number of parking spaces on-site is limited and is offered on a first come-first serve basis. Shuttle Buses will run continuously from the designated parking areas to the Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport. Bus service begins at 9:00 AM and runs through 5:30 PM, or until all guests have been returned to the parking lots. Those guests requiring special assistance may park at the Paulding County
  6. DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: Email me your full name and email address as soon as possible There are plenty of tickets still available, you don't want to miss this folks. This will be the biggest most spectacular event to ever come to Paulding. A great turnout will encourage community volunteers to bring more great things here for the enjoyment of our families!!
  7. Johnny had been battling cancer for the last year. As the cancer ravaged his body p.com was one of the last things he could enjoy. His family says that it kept him going, Pubby and I also know it was important to him. He is at peace now and out of pain.
  8. We have already gone through our own pantries and I have started picking some things up that are on sale. I like to remind people about the mission of Helping Hands. We have many gaps that they fill. Sometimes people need a little help to get on their feet. Illnesses were they get behind, temporary work loss, and other circumstances beyond their control. Many don't qualify for other services because the situation is temporary. Or they have not yet been processed for the help they need. I am proud of what this organization does, it is a community helping it's own. If everyone gives some
  9. The press release keeps coming to mind, I am not saying that there is zero chance that they would put false information in a press release. I tend to think that they can back up everything in the release. I can't get past the pepper spray, it is considered a weapon. The widow has not said that there was not pepper spray in his hand. If there were no drugs and he was feeble enough not to be able to clearly hear the officers declaring themselves then we have a tragedy. I don't believe for one minute that our LE is randomly choosing homes to invade. They are trying to protect our community fro
  10. Our officers can not come here and protect themselves against your remarks. You are painting them all with the same brush. They work hard, they put their lives on the line. I know they are not perfect. Maybe you need to look at police blotters and see 95% percent of the crimes in our county are related to substance abuse. Talk to some Casa volunteers and hear what these people do to their kids. You are telling one side of the story. When you handle this volume there are going to be mistakes.
  11. Nor did they knock on the door and say Mary Poopins can I come in. How much drugs are flushed down a toilet while someone takes 10 minutes to open the door. Surely we are not going to play it that way.
  12. He should have raised them empty. Do as the officer says and you are most likely going to survive the encounter. Don't and suffer the consequences.
  13. Pepper spray blinds an officer and makes him helpless. He is not psychic to know that someone was not standing just out of sight waiting for him to be blinded. You are being very one sided about this. You act like you were there, were you? Don't raise your hand to an officer ever and you won't die. You want to test that theory? Looks like the odds are are pretty good you will end up dead, but by all means go ahead and try it.
  14. I hope you read your list and learned something, when approached by LE make sure your hands are empty, do what you are told. More than likely you will survive the encounter.
  15. Did you bother to read them? most of them were brandishing or firing a weapon. Hello!! common theme here. You want death by cop brandish a weapon.
  16. Authority issues more than likely. Most LE have authoritarian personalities, non LE with the same personality type, tend to not do well in encounters with one another.
  17. My heart goes out to the Hammett family, this is tragic. I am sorry that someone did not understand that an officer would fear for his life if he were blinded an a dark hallway and had no way of knowing if others were armed on the rooms in the hallway. They knew they were entering a home were people had drug issues in the past. There is something to be learned here. Our officers face frightening things every day while trying to protect us. They are afraid, it's nothing to be ashamed of. They deal every day with people who's behavior would make on sense to us because they are doing mind
  18. I can't believe that nobody has at least 3 right yet. Some have 2 right, but you have to name 3 of them correctly. Click through to the website and get the answers.
  19. We will be announcing the winner this afternoon!!!
  20. My experience is that people who build wealth are generally very smart, have great judgement ect. The problem if that our government has ceased to be a government. Wealthy people now have power over our government. There would be no problem with someone inheriting wealth if they did not also inherit the power that comes with it. I keep hearing that corporate America could rule better than the government.
  21. My sympathy does not lie with her either, it was meant for people to think about what can happen with even one lapse in judgement. It's not worth anyone's life.
  22. It could have been a tragic misunderstanding, wrong address, wrong person what ever. We have enough meth users, crack addicts and drunks in this county that when you see a badge or an officer you need to declare your weapon and put it down. You may have rights to posses it, carry it what ever. That officer has a right to do everything possible to make it home to his family every day.
  23. Thank you for pointing out the witnesses to me. I want people to see firsthand what drunk driving causes. Call a cab, make arrangement with friends, or stay where you are. This women will have to live with what she did for the rest of her life. It was not worth it.
