Beginning Saturday morning at 7AM, March 26, 2016, Paulding County DOT will be temporarily closing Hiram-Sudie Road at Bill Carruth Parkway. The closure and detour are unavoidable due to the amount of earthwork removal required at the intersection to provide acceptable sight distance for motorists. Plans include removing five (5) feet of depth at the crest of the intersection. The Phase 1A detour route, which affects the east side of Hiram-Sudie Road (area from Bill Carruth Pkwy to SR 92) will have a signed detour route using Nebo Road. I love were I live... that is why it is so heart sicking to see some of the things being torn up to keep up with the times...

both ends of nebo has been catching road work for months now.... hopefully when all is said and done it will be worth it...

Stonewall I for one was fine with the 4 way stop... and actually this home has been here since 1980 which was a dirt road at one time. I have no issue with progress, however I do have an issue with how that progress is done. as I stated above it is the water department who can not tell the truth, it is the gas company who blew a main gas line up, (people had to stay in hotels) for 11 hours the main gas line sounded like a tornado roaring through here. (nebo/61 was closed) who also was reckless and did not close the gate on thier truck and came down the road wiping out street signs and wip

It is not Baldwin paving I am having issues with, it is the water department who can not tell the truth, it is the gas company who blew a main gas line up, who also was reckless and did not close the gate on thier truck and came down the road wiping our mail box out, it was the tree cutting crew who let a tree fall on our fence. it was the logging trucks who ripped the cable and phone lines out from the side of our house. and our home was not suppose to be in the impact zone.

don't forget hwy 61 south will be shut down april 3, from 7pm-6am sunday night -monday morning
