some of the roads are still not passable, they have the roads blocked, therefore the buses can not get through the roads to pick the kids up. The boil water advisory is a huge issue on why schools are not open yet. you can run a school with out water.

when you call the BOE the message says local tv stations will have the updates for school closings. please refer to those local news stations.. so I guess if it was reported on the news as it being closed Thursday also, then they have just not updated their website.

I would make the plans ago on the trip, school will probaly be out the rest of the week. no way roads will be fixed before this week is over, and the boil water issue will also stop school from starting back this week.

I agree it is dark on Due west maybe they should take some of the street lights that are in all these empty subs that burn every night and place them on some of the roads that need street lights LOL

The last I heard Ch James pkwy is closed, doesn;'t this run in to thronthon road? if so it is under water

I think they had the right signs there but they were moved. Hubby said that they had barrels up at the end of due west from hwy 92, with signs saying road is closed. I imagine the same signs are up at the other end also from hwy 381. I have been listening to the scanner the past few days, and when you have kids out wondering the roads checking out all the damage, and they move the signs because they think it is funny, then the DOT does not know this until someone calls in and lets them know.

Until they lift the boil water advisory I would bet they will stay closed
