  1. Glassjaw, I asked a question about insurance for the purpose of getting someone else's point of view. i don't ask questions with the intent of answering them myself. You don't think insurance is necessary? Why not? Should someone with an established pattern of negligence be required to obtain insurance?
  2. The professional question dodger, Foxmeister, that asks more questions to avoid providing answers is complaining?
  3. Now after my having asked that question, the question is do you plan to answer the question before demanding I answer my own question or that mrshoward explain how she is going to secure schools?
  4. Apparently you did come up with the half-assed idea all on your own. I asked one question. Should gun owners be required to obtain insurance? I said nothing more than that. It is all of you that turned the question into something it was not. You did so all on your own without any help from me.
  5. I've asked mrshoward several times how she intends to secure the schools. I have not received an answer. What entitles any of you to anything you do not provide?
  6. So you are admitting your reply was impulsive, half-cocked and uninformed?
  7. Then why did you take the time to interject your 2 cents? That's just half-assed and lazy. Why not just keep your trap shut from the get-go? But you may continue to stall while you research hotair.com for an answer. Your apple tree grows oranges doesn't it?
  8. You really think the purpose of auto insurance is to prevent auto accidents? And all of this time I just thought your comments were rooted in intellectual dishonesty. Turns out you're just intellectually impaired.
  9. Still no suggestions on how to fund securing schools?
  10. Yep, still no suggestions from mrshoward who had the brilliant idea of securing the schools but no idea how to fund this.
  11. Right- Kids suddenly have the funds for transportation and hotel accommodations?
  12. A cultural change is needed but that change is not only subjective, it will take decades to accomplish. It's part of the solution but it will not garner immediate results. In the interim, kids keep dying. I agree, if you leave guns/weapons of any kind where they can fall into the wrong hands, you should be held liable civilly and criminally. Start locking people up that contribute to the causes and the number of contributors will be reduced in more ways than one. Should gun owners be required to obtain insurance?
  13. If tobacco is apples and oranges, so is this. So in other words, you have no earthly idea how to secure the schools you just spit talking points. I didn't ask you to regurgitate the same old talking points and try to tell me what my position was and argue against what you perceived it to be. I asked for solutions.
  14. That's just it, I haven't run to my "respective political corner". I've asked the complainers to stop complaining and offer a solution of their own. Thus far they have nothing. Changing the culture will take at least a generation, if a perfect mode to do so were implemented. While all of this time passes implement a decades long strategy, how many more children will be sacrificed? Should those who make such weapons available be subject to any form of accountability? If an assault type weapon is left unsecured and is used to carryout illegal activities, should the owner be held criminally l
  15. Like everyone else on the right you put up a strawman's argument. Then you whine and moan but other than that you've got nothing.
  16. So you don't have any solutions? Why are you flapping your gums and tapping keystrokes? I've never once told you we should ban gun ownership. So not only don't you know your own position, you don't know mine. In fact, you don't have a solution because it wasn't handed to you yet. Foxmeister likes to read the talking points somewhere and then regurgitate them here without ever providing a link in the hopes that someone would actually think he thought up the position on his own.
  17. Another one from the right with no ideas on a solution or how to implement one. Ask the right for a solution and they come up with circular questions to deflect. The damn crickets in here are deafening.
  18. When you ask questions to answer questions, is that your method of deflection because you really are talking out of your ass and have no idea how else to respond? Why not humble yourself and say you don't know the answer? Whatever answer I give you will be unreasonable to you so why don't you answer your own question and we go from there.
  19. Sounds like a crock of sheeze to me but what changes do you propose and how do you propose to implement them? Does this mean you disagree with mrshoward? Securing schools is not a practical or realistic solution? Aren't you of the "law and order" crowd? Should anyone that does not take reasonable measures to keep guns out of the hands of real threats be held liable for any carnage? Should they be imprisoned for their negligence?
  20. Secure schools how? Right here in Paulding, there is no money for books because everyone whines about taxes.
  21. The right is pretty adept at tearing down the ideas of other but what is the solution being offered? Should we force gun owners to purchase insurance? Should gun owners and sellers be tried for negligence and imprisoned as accessories to any crime committed by someone in possession of a gun illegally or unethically?
  22. Your President hasn't read the Constitution either.
  23. Unlike Donald Trump's snide remarks toward McCabe's wife, I try to avoid commenting about another person's wife. But I'm glad you are happy. I do hope she is equally pleased.
  24. For the same reason Republicans are so willing to pass it now when they weren't before. That bill was written 6 months before the latest school mass shooting. Naturally with a climate increasingly ripe for real reform, why would Republicans risk greater legislation and why would Dems accept less?
