  1. If anyone had their digital camera replaced i would like to take the old one off your hands :) PM me with how much you would what kind it is so i can look it up. I am trying to find one for my sis. She has a newborn and no camera! Help! :)

  2. So sorry you could not attend the gathering at Sparkles this past Sunday.

NY Gal invited everyone and gave a free pass to get in. Santa was there and lots of children (and adults) got to have their pictures made with Santa. I can hardly wait to see the photos posted on the Sparkles web site!

    Merry Christmas,

    Denise

I wasn't aware of this one. That stinks.

  3. Ok, so i got a flyer a couple weeks ago saying santa would be at the corner of 92 and dallas highway. Pics and pony rides for 10.00. I have seen the set up but haven't seen santa! Argh. And yes, i am a procrastinator BUT i haven't gone to the mall bc we really don't have that kind of money. Anyone else seen santa hanging out locally in front of a camera?? :)

  4. Awww those are both so cute. Some of the worst pic we had when the kids were little are my favs now - they always make me smile remembering how they were being 'uncooperative', making bunny ears, not wanting to smile, etc.

Just a little (unsolicited) advice - especially at Christmas time - just lower your expectations and enjoy the moment/s. When my kids were little I would get so stressed trying to make Christmas "perfect" - which is impossible - so I finally learned to just relax, every was going to fine (not perfect is fine also). I have really enjoyed Christmas every since then much, much more - and my kids.

I appreciate your advice :) I learn so much more every day now that i am a mom, like i said i am usually pretty patient with her....but moments like these just make me appreciate my time with her even more. So i guess we have these moments for a reason. I've never known how to appreciate anything as much as i have since my daughter has been teaching me :). She has taught me many life lessons already...in only 9 months!

  5. Please don't be so hard on yourself! When my oldest was that age, I had huge expectations and "visions" of what I thought my Christmas pictures should look like. This along with many other of my unrealistic expectations always put unnecessary stress on me and especially on him. Well now its 15 years later, and I have 2 more boys. Those expectations went out the window loooonnnnng ago! Now I realize that the candid shots are cutest anyway, and someday you will look back and chuckle at what a big deal you once thought today was.

Aww, you're making me tear up again!

  6. Alright...since you guys are making me feel better i guess i owe you a couple pics :) Now that i look back at them i grin a little :) The first one is better than i thought. I actually like it..i just wish you could see more of the tree.

And then the second one...is 2 minutes later....it's kind of cute now. Lol. My poor baby :(

It will make you feel better to apologize even though she is young it will make you feel better.

I did when i put her down to bed, but that's when i started crying and i didn't want her to see me cry so i had to hurry out of the room.

  7. Thanks guys! I really appreciate your feedback. It has helped alot already. I love her to death, and am usually pretty patient because i remind myself she's just a baby. But tonight for whatever reason was just a bad time i guess. Ill try again later :)

  8. So..i was just trying to take our xmas pics in front of our tree with our little girl. It's her first christmas and I really wanted some. She was NOT cooperative. The first couple were ok but just not what i wanted. I feel so bad because i got SO frustrated with her. And its not her fault, she was hot in her little dress, she was tired and just didn't want to pose. I get that, but i have been looking forward to these and was just so aggravated that they didn't work the way i had in my head. I should be happy to have a daughter to spend christmas with, and instead i get mad because the pics don't turn out like i want? So now i sit here crying..not because i didn't get the pics i wanted, but because of how mad i got towards my 9 MONTH OLD daughter. It's times like these I really feel like a bad mom. :(

  9. What Love means to a 4-8 year old ....

Slow down for three minutes to read this. It is so worth it. Touching words from the mouth of babes.

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?'

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined See what you think:

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.

So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'

    Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.

You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'

    Billy - age 4

'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.'

    Karl - age 5

'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.'

    Chrissy - age 6 < /b>

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'

    Terri - age 4

'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'

    Danny - age 7

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you t alk more.

My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss'

    Emily - age 8

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.'

    Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,'

    Nikka - age 6

(we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.'

    Noelle - age 7

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.'

    Tommy - age 6

    ;

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling.

He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'

    Cindy - age 8

'My mommy loves me more than anybody

You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'

    Clare - age 6

'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'

    Elaine-age 5

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'

    Chris - age 7

'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.'

    Mary Ann - age 4

'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'

    Lauren - age 4

'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image)

    Karen - age 7

'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross.'

    Mark - age 6

'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'

    Jessica - age 8

    And the final one

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,

'Nothing, I just helped him cry'

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need. Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent you this.

Heavenly Father, please bless all my friends in whatever it is that You know they may be needing this day! And may their life be full of Your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with You. Amen.

Then send it on to five other people, including the one who sent it to you. Within hours you caused a multitude of people to pray for other p eople. Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life

  10. I have posted this before requesting information on sites that give freebies and samples and stuff. When i signed up for a few in the past i still never received my samples! I love stuff like this so i am trying to find one that is legit. Anyone know of any?
