  1. Butterfly Lion, how are you doing? Any relief? What kind of mask do you want? What kind of mask do you have? No, I did not and I "DO" need to call them, If I can find the folder that is. I did get a chin strap and it has to be real tight to work properly and then with the straps for the face mask on top of that, it gets to be a bit much. (I'm clostrophobic) When I do wear the mask, I am usually able to keep the mask on til about 6 and definately has to come off by 7:30. Keep in mind I usually don't go to bed til 2 or 3 am, this is because I don't get sleepy!! I get better sleep when I am NOT using the bipap machine, go figure. I'll update when I call the place!!

I don't feel well like the others say they do. I started having a twitch in my left eye almost immediately after beginning CPAP. I often wake up during the night or morning feeling jittery, and I don't use caffeine at all.

  2. Well, Nipper passed away. She had surgery to repair the prolapse and as she was waking up from surgery she stopped breathing. There was nothing the vet could do, he tried to revive her but was unsuccessful. This has really surprised my whole family as we certainly did not expect this to the outcome. Nipper was a very sweet normal grey cockatiel who loved me dearly and loved to be held. She will really be missed by me and my family and certainly by her cage mate Sonny, another female. I hand raised them both and hand fed them since they were babies. Nipper was 6 1/2 years old.

RIP sweet girl, I love you.

I'm so sorry. My Cockatiel, B.J., was over 20 years old when he had a stroke. He lost the use of one leg, but then he had another stroke a few months later and died.

  3. I'm still fighting with my Bipap machine! This thing is a joke, for me, anyway!!! Maybe I need to get a new mask. I'll have to call Monday. I have the Mirage Liberty mask. (link is below) It irritates the heck out of my face, can't seem to adjust it just right. I'll keep trying!

Did you get a new mask yet?

I want to try a different one. It will be two months tomorrow since I started on CPAP, and I have trouble with the whole thing---mask---hose---and the noise.

  4. Lately I've been buying Kashi Vive. On the front it says: "Probiotic Digestive Wellness Cereal." I eat it dry without milk. I like the taste. A serving has 170 calories and an amazing "46% of your daily value for fiber & natural dried broccoli." Has anyone else tried it? It was on sale a couple of weeks ago for only $2.50 a box.

  5. My prescription for my blood pressure medication looked totally different when I got it filled this time at a different pharmacy. I wondered if they had given me the correct tablets. I found out that they had by looking at this site.

    From their website:

"Worried about those capsules you found in your teenager's room? Not sure about some of those leftover pills still in the bathroom cabinet? There's a good chance that our Pill Identification Wizard can help you match size, shape, colour... then lead you to the detailed description in our drugs database."

I had never heard of it either. You can read more about it at Wikipedia:

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rastafari movement (also known as Rastafari, Rastafarianism or simply Rasta) is a monotheistic, Abrahamic, new religious movement [1] that accepts Haile Selassie I, the former Emperor of Ethiopia, as the incarnation of God, called Jah[2] or Jah Rastafari. Haile Selassie is also seen as part of the Holy Trinity and as the returned messiah promised in the Bible.

  7. Update:

The little girl with the seizures came home today. After retesting her while she was asleep... it showed that the seizure activity had spread on the right side of her brain, but thankfully, not the left. So... this means they will not do surgery yet. If they have to do surgery, she will have to relearn everything she has learned to far... to walk, to feed herself,.... everything. They have increased her medication... which they were going to decrease because they thought it might be too much, thus causing more seizures... it doesn't seem they know what to do and are guessing in the wind at what might work. She came home today.... but on a tremendous amount of medication. Please, continue to pray for this family. They all are exhausted.

The little boy that's out of state is still in intensive care. I talked to the mom this morning and she had not seen the doctor and I didn't hear from her again today.. so I'm not sure what's going on. Please continue to pray for them as well.

    Thanks!

    What are their ages?

I pray that all of the medical care providers will have Divine wisdom and that any details that may have been overlooked will become plain to see and that the result will be a postive outcome.
