I heard of them, that would be about when TV was invented right?rofl.gif

I think they were filmed in the 50s and 60s. My Mom liked Perry Mason, too.

After I mentioned Rawhide I remembered a lot of westerns that once were popular; Big Valley, Bonanza, Rifeman, Branded, and of course, Gunsmoke.

I remember my Dad watching Jackie Gleason and Red Skelton, and Carol Burnett.

  2.

I believe the attending count was 180 as of yesterday. Lunch has to be confirmed so registrations need to be in by tomorrow, Thursday. Tanya Curren is an excellent speaker and author. She has an amazing testimony! Hope you can make it!

    Thanks.

    What time is the deadline?

I'm thinking about going. Could someone give me an idea of where the Paulding Community Center is? I can get directions online, but I just wanted to get an idea of where it's located.

  3. Thanks for posting this. Do you know how many are expected to attend?

I looked at their website. I saw that this is the first part of their mission statement:

    Our Mission

We believe in the power of ONE. ONE person can make a massive difference in our world. ONE encouraging word can bring a dream into reality. Your potential is greater than any circumstance!

  4. ...I watched it start to fizzle and eat away at the Formica and though 'Hmmm... probably shouldn't have done that.' Had I browsed a bit more carefully through our Science section, here, at the store, I might have figured that out a bit earlier!

Science&Nature Section are 25% off today!

Don't forget; Children's Literature today from 2-4 with Annette Laing and Vanessa Lee, as well as some southern cuisine with Kennesaw Taylor, 12-2!

Really... it's going to rain today; bring the kids out and enjoy some shiny, happy books!

    See you soon!

An older woman where I used to live died after she mixed the two:

Why You Shouldn't Mix Bleach and Ammonia

It's been my experience that Baptists are going to drink and smoke and engage in acts of "sin" regardless, they just don't want anyone to know about it.

I don't know why you brought up one religious group's personal behavior in a thread that's about alcohol sales on Sunday but since you did. I've known Baptists that are quite different than your description. (Not sure why you brought it up.) I'm not going to discuss the "sin" part of your post. I don't think it is appropriate to discuss that here.

  6. I have NO idea what y'all are talking about "skins". I assume it is the color of the page?? I still have the Christmas tree/snowman and am sick of it but don't know how to change it. I can pull up the Directory but have been trying for MONTHS to get my business listed in the Directory. IF it is there I haven't been able to find it.

Scroll down to the bottom. To the left you'll see an arrow with different color (skin) options.

  7. Christian, I know someone who might be hiring.

I noticed you've had several jobs in different fields. How would you describe your idea job if you could do what you enjoy the most and are best suited to doing?

You mentioned doing paperwork, do you have any computer skills?

How important are benefits like health insurance, etc.?

  8. The drawing will be held at our Community Christmas party (before Christmas so you could use it for a gift).. It is a 19"flat screen, I do not have the brand name (off the top of my head), but it is on display at our office. We are accapting gift cards, toy or food donations. When is the drawing? Can donations be made online through PayPal? What size and brand is the TV?

  10. Are you a good cook? So good you should open a new restaurant on 278? We need good mom and pop place so badly so we have other choices then chain restaurants?

Seriously p.commers, would you support a new place if you never heard of it? How long would it take for you to give a new place a try? You can't wait too long because new places have to start covering the bills to stay in business.

How many times have you saw a new business you wanted to try and by the time you finally did, it was already closed? Just sayin' ...... if you know of a new business that opens up, stop as soon as you can and try them. You may not like them but at least you gave them a shot and if you loved them, you did a great thing for someone that had a dream of having their own place. :yahoo:

By the way, all you cooks and want to be cooks, COOKBOOKS are on sale today at 20% off today. Time to get ready with all the holiday cooking and we can help you out with a great selection new, old and very different cookbooks with great recipes! :yahoo:

I would like to see a restaurant with homemade mashed potatoes and other vegetables (without any meat seasoning) and good yeast rolls.

Bookworm, I hope you bring back your calendar that shows specials for the month. I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes to plan their shopping ahead of time. :)

  11. The Book Shelter will be opening at 10 am Saturday August 1st. We are located in Old Hiram between the Hiram Coffee House and MacFarlane's Olde Towne Grille.

How is the store credit figured?

  12. I had a yard sale today and it was very slow, it was really not worth the trouble of getting all that stuff out. I had really good stuff, lots of boys clothes, tons of jeans and jean shorts, nice collar shirts for boys, I always hear people saying they need boys clothes. I thought for sure that would go. Finally around 12:00, I called it quits. Is August a bad yard sale month? When is the best time of the year to have yard sales?

Did you post here ahead of time that you were having a sale?

  13. I haven't seen this episode, but I watched the pilot which was on about a week or so ago.

    A Beautiful Delusion

    Fri, Jun 5, 9:00p - 10:00p

    004 WAGA

    (Repeat. Orig. air date: 06/02/2009)

    2009 | TV14 | 60 mins

Jack and Veronica are called to treat a woman (Nicholle Tom) who believes she is pregnant, but the ultrasound reveals there is no baby; Jack searches for his mentally ill sister, who is homeless and wandering the streets of the city.

  14. I reccommend The Center at Mt Paran North in Marietta. Little bit of a drive but really worth it. The head of The Center is Dr. Hardi, Ph.D, and she's fantastic. All counselors are under her and are certified. They are not cooky either. Dont let the church affilliation scare you. I've sent lots of people to them and I've been to them too. They are very professional and very caring. And, its FREE. The church pays them. You do not have to be a member. They can then refer you to a psychiatrist, if needed.

They usually have a short wait list but get you in sooner if its urgent.

I've never been there before, but I searched and found this link online that tells more about the types of counseling that they offer:
