  1. I'm wondering how long the series will last. I hope they are able to keep all the twists and turns up but I don't know.
  2. I posted the above about a week ago but no one responded. So what are the steps for posting a pic from another website? For example, a photo of a dahlia or some other flower?
  3. I searched and found this website. Here are reviews of several survey companies. They also have some other sections on how to make money online in other ways: ... www.MySurvey.com – members have the opportunity to earn great rewards by participating in online surveys. One of the most trusted survey panels around, MySurvey is accredited by the major market research governing bodies and has an A+ rating with BBB www.Ipsos.com – one of the largest survey research companies in the world and among the most trusted research brands in North America. Ipsos conducts over six million surveys
  4. When I saw your question I went to my account to check so I could give you an accurate answer. Since October 2009 I've redeemed swagbucks for $170 in amazon.com gift certificates: 34 @ $5.00 each.
  5. Print this at the top of the coupons. I only bought a couple of things. They have 2 cup glass measuring cups made in the USA reg $3.00 ($1.50 with coupon). It's good through Feb. 19: http://www2.dollargeneral.com/Ads-and-Promos/Coupons/pages/Index.aspx?ab=CMS_HP_B_Coupons_090811
  6. How do you get hundreds of dollars worth of Amazon gift cards? Does it take a lot of time? Does it involve memberships that you must cancel during the trial period or they charge you?
  7. Did anyone watch the show? I didn't. The man that did this with his Lava Lamp ended up dying: ... A new series, "Curious And Unusual Deaths," which debuts February 17 on Discovery Fit & Health, attempts to explain the science behind these bizarre deaths with the help of experts and reenactments. The first episode deals with the strange death of Aidan Bray, a resident of Kent, Wash., who died in 2004 at the age of 24 because of an exploding lava lamp that left him covered in blue waxy goo with glass shards embedded in his heart. Bray had developed an interest in lava lam
  8. I did a few surveys from another company, but they were really long and very detailed so I stopped doing them. What about the ones from SmartPanelist? How long do they take to do? I've wondered about the negative comments I've heard about AARP. Were they different at one time?
  9. I've heard before that a lot of good wood can be found in pallets. This isn't about building but I thought it was interesting the way she transformed the look of this old dresser: http://karapaslaydesigns.blogspot.com/2011/02/mini-makeover-lackluster-to-lacy-looker.html
  10. Some of you may be familiar with their mailorder catalog. From their website: Home > Newsletter Archives > 2012 > February Dear PDN'ers: It is with great sadness that I report my wife and Plant Delights Nursery co-owner, Michelle Avent, 55, passed away after a brave four year battle with a very aggressive form of metastatic breast cancer. Michelle was a Raleigh native who attended Needham Broughton High School, followed by a brief and chilly stint at Appalachian State University before enrolling in NC State University. Michelle and I attended junior high together,
  11. I didn't know what you where referring to as "small loans, even larger ones." You mention dependence in your last post. I've seen some adults in their 30s or older who expect their parents and/or grandparents to continue to buy them cars, etc. Maybe they say they are borrowing the money and will repay it but don't. I've seen some even older that expect significant amounts of money to be given to them by their parents and siblings. Then it's destructive for all involved.
  12. I don't eat out much. When I do I often have food left that I carry home. I don't eat dessert usually. I was thinking more about bakeries and stores with bakery depts.
  13. Maybe since some places are selling smaller sizes it will become more popular and other businesses will offer more. I've bought single slices of cake and pie, but I would like to see really small sizes. I'd like to get more variety for not so many calories.
  14. I realize it could have happened anywhere. I just didn't see the "just as easily" part. That's all.
  15. The woman who wrote the book about how French women don't get fat says that the first few bites are the best. I think businesses are missing an opportunity by not offering more desserts in petite sizes. I was just wondering how they would sell. I would rather eat a couple of bites of a mini tart and a couple more bites of mini cookie, etc. I was wondering if anyone else likes that sort of thing?
  16. For adults? That is interesting. When I was growing up it was generally taught by everyone I knew to live below your means, to be responsible, and to find resources as adults yourselves---independent of your parents. It was different when you were a child living at home vs. when you became an adult. There were a few exceptions to those guidelines but not many.
  17. How did you think it would be divided? It doesn't sound like the two would split all the cash received from selling his house and other assets but it would depend on how much it is worth, i.e. if he had a mortgage, other debts, etc.
  18. You're saying one person borrowed $45,000.00 and the other borrowed $18,500.00?
  19. I first read it over 15 years ago and I've never forgotten it. The depth of his words make an impression that has span generations ...
  20. A great love to think about today or any day: ... If I do not my dear Sarah, never forget how much I love you, and when my last breath escapes me on the battle field, it will whisper your name. Forgive my many faults and the many pains I have caused you. How thoughtless and foolish I have often times been! How gladly would I wash out with my tears every little spot upon your happiness . . . But, O Sarah! If the dead can come back to this earth and flit unseen around those they loved, I shall always be near you; in the gladdest days and in the darkest nights . . . always, always, and i
  21.
