  1. My man is completely gray and has a silvery, gray beard . Sexy for sure on a good lookin man!
  2. .................... Hope your week is much better.
  3. I feel the same way about ME and what I wear to church. I think that if I wear a dress and heels to work everyday, why can I not do the same for The Creator?! But, that's ONLY my personal conviction. I think it's fine and good to "come just as you are". Jesus was all about the simple life and the common man. But, personally. I,(like you), like to get all pretty to go to church .
  4. Yes! I go to a pretty traditional church in Atlanta and that is more than okay there. It's pretty much a 50/50 split on people dressing up and people dressing down(jeans. etc.). God certainly couldnt care less what you wear! He's just glad we are all there P.S. I've seen people worshiping in a Tshirt and running shorts. It appeared they literally RAN to church and were going to RUN back home!
  5. I did! The weather was beautiful and no complaints whatsoever about anything. About to top if off by taking the doggie on a late walk before bed. I'm blessed! Tell me about your weekend...
  6. Thank you. God has defintely blessed him with the gift of music!...and gab! I'm so very proud of him.
  7. oh NO! hahahaha! What is THAT?!?! Should I beware?!?!
  8. Saying a prayer for your family. Way too young to lose someone. So sorry for your loss. May God comfort you.
  9. I love Cali rolls! Where is Hai Hai? Oh PHOOEY, Sadie! You'd love it if you'd try some GOOD sushi!
  10. NOOOOOO! Not at ALL! I was afraid that comment would be taken that way after I posted it. Honestly, I KNOW you have instilled a great work ethic in Ashlyn from everything I've ever heard you say(and heard HER say too!). You both have done a great job and she will be so glad that you did what you did! I really appreciate your advice.
  11. haha! That's what I used to say to sushi, too. But, I reluctantly gave in about a year ago and tried it when a friend of mine suggested we eat dinner at a sushi restaurant. The kind he ordered for me is my absolute favorite and I've eaten and enjoyed so many crazy combinations since. I think you kinda work your way up to trying all different kinds...sort of like wine . But, it's not as much of an 'acquired' taste as wine, in my opinion anyway.
  12. Thanks, Subby and I KNOW you are SO right! Nothing makes you feel more content and proud than working hard and getting what you want and need honestly. Thanks for your advice . You are a GREAT Dad.
  13. I love sushi and love trying new kinds. What's your favorite and where do you like to get it?
  14. ***HIJACK, sorry!*** Hey Madea...I miss you! Give L a big hug for me and two of the PRETTIEST kids EVER .
  15. ooooooohhh! I have the BEST side dish that I make for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not only is it YUMMY but it really looks beautiful on the plate. Honestly, everytime I make this, someone ALWAYS says they've HATED brussel sprouts but they LOVE this... in a pot let this simmer slowly (very low heat and stir occasionally) until it cooks down to a liquid just above the brussel sprouts(usually about 20-25 mins)... 3 1/2 cups water, 1/2 cup sugar and about 4-5 cups of frozen brussel sprouts. After it boils down to just above the brussel sprouts add 1/2 cup heavy cream and heat just until it s
  16. Thanks KRM...I love getting advice from someone I know is a very good parent. And, I REALLY do appreciate everyone's ideas and opinions here. It has helped me a lot! THANKS!!!

  18. My son is a very good boy. He's 17. Does good in school, his teachers say other than some extra socializing instead of doing schoolwork, he's ALWAYS very respectful and have even told me repeatedly that he cares about other people and I love this attribute this early about him. But, like every teenager, he thinks I have a secret but very vibrant and growing money tree in the backyard somewhere. I give him a set amount every week for lunch money(if he makes his own lunch, he can keep the cash) and gas($35). He has a "new to him" but older car. Then, I always throw him a little extra on the
  19. thank you all. Andy will need all the prayer and support he can get to raise these babies. He's a WONDERFUL man but what a mountain.
  20. I will! My Mom and Dad loved the train ride and went a few times. We shall see!
  21. yes, thats unknowingly what happened and it doesnt appear to be negligent. They think some fluid went to her brain stem during either the epidural or the C-section. The Dr said he hates to have to remind people that women do STILL die from chilbirth. Thank goodness the numbers are much smaller than they used to be, though. Even sadder note:their second baby was adopted after years of trying to get pregnant. IDK, theres just something so bitter sweet about that.
  22. I'm to the small space heater for the VERY cold, tile floor bathroom and soft, fuzzy socks. Havent gone total HEAT, yet and I DO love it COLD to sleep at night. Now, if I could just move this wedding date up to have some body heat to keep me warm, too!
  23. Christa had given birth just 6 weeks prior and was a very normal, healthy, busy mother of three. Her husband says that when she said a few sentences the week before that didnt make a lot of sense, he just assumed, as anyone would, that she was overly tired. He sat with her, tucked her in their bed, kissed her head and told her he would take care of the baby and the kids and that she should sleep late the next day too. She never woke up. Died of a stroke. Please keep them in your prayers. Learn the signs of a stroke. It can happen to ANYBODY, young or old. This is not one of those sad email
  24. I loved him! I even had a Shaun Cassidy pillow case .
