Paulding: The race is on for DA, State Senate and GA House

Pownall doesn't wear his "religion" on his sleeve? Picture of him at Prayer Garden at WRC - http://toddpownall.com/index.php?page=letter Todd, Kevin & Darren at the Prayer Rock at WRC - bottom of page - http://toddpownall.com/index.php?page=family Referring to “Give of your Time, Give of your Talents and Give of your Treasures” in his letter. By the way, I don't have an issue with Pownall for any of that. I'm just saying if you're so sensitive to the issue of religion mixed with politics, it would seem that Mr. Pownall is very conscious about communicating his faith to t -
I don't believe he qualified. Wasn't on the ballot. You can register prior and start raising money and then later decide not to qualify or run. http://www.sos.georgia.gov/elections/election_results/2006_0718/house.htm STATE REPRESENTATIVE - DISTRICT 81 Democrat 100 % of precincts reporting BOB ROCHE 1,168 100.0 % STATE REPRESENTATIVE - DISTRICT 81 Republican 100 % of precincts reporting JILL CHAMBERS 599 100.0 %

Paulding: The race is on for DA, State Senate and GA House

The "boys" at the PGOP don't tell Stout, Collett, or anyone else what to run on. The reason people state whether they're pro-life is because voters ask them. Try running for office and knocking on every door in Paulding, you'll see how many people ask you what your position is on that issue. -
Whitey, you got proof he ran as a Democrat? Actually did he even end up running or qualifying? I can't find any links.

You can't read, as usual. I didn't say nobody cares if they're late.

Paulding: The race is on for DA, State Senate and GA House

The problem with education is that it is controlled by politicians competing for votes instead of private enterprises competing for customers. Will Avery's solution is nothing new. Take the power and control away from bureaucrats and slick-talking politicians and give it back to the parents. End of story. -
Nobody cares how man days early someone files. Nobody.

BIG MONEY?

Barnett's and Pownall's previous report was March 31st close-date. Not even sure if they had announced their campaigns yet at that point. I would think the majority of their donations would have come between April 1st and June 30th which is this coming report. Funny how you're not interested in seeing the candidates you support. No bias there.
-
I'm sure there's a Jerry conspiracy there somewhere Whitey. Keep digging. Jerry is behind every candidate in every race. LOL
-
Stuck on Jerry. Barnett will have more money from building industry than other two candidates combined. Not that it matters. I don't choose my candidates based on who gives money to them. Seems childish.
-
Tony Crowe? Money machines?
-
I've heard from several sources that Tony Crowe is eating away at David Barnett's OLD PAULDING and BURNT HICKORY base. I took a quick drive up Hwy 61 this past weekend and was amazed at how many large TONY CROWE signs were up. Rumor is that its got so bad for the Barnett campaign that they've actually started confronting Crowe supporters. With Crowe taking OLD PAULDING and Jason Anavitarte taking NEW PAULDING, it's starting to look like Barnett may be the odd man out. :o

Anyone know of fall baseball leagues for kids?

WOW, I'm going back to facebook.

Again, you can't say that 2.3million is great and 2.8 is meaningless. 2010 Budget 53.7 million @6.65 mill-rate 2011 Budget 51.4 million @6.65 mill-rate (proposed and published on 6/1/10 at paulding.gov) 2011 Budget 50.9 million @6.50 mill-rate (press release from Jason A. on 6/21/10

Both men have impeccable reputations I hear. However, anyone with an "I" next to their name this round will have they're work cut out.
-
Just go ahead and tell us about all the "whisper campaigns" on Vernon Collett. That's where ya headed anyhow.
-
Not a lick of sense. If you're going to make something up it at least has to be plausible. How can the the budget have cut taxes more than he wanted if he never said what he wanted? Also, what he stated on his website was a "tax rate" cut. And the June 1st budget has the same 6.65 as last year. The mill-rate is the same as last year. You're desperate on this one. Also, you're the only person I know who turns himself in for his own "whisper campaigns" ...
-
Whitey, you're not making any sense. Sorry. "NEVER anywhere has he stated prior to the press release" ... correct! That's the purpose of a press release. To state something new! The budget didn't come out until June 1st so how would someone make any recommendation or comment on it prior to that?!??? 2010 Budget 53.7 million @6.65 mill-rate 2011 Budget 51.4 million @6.65 mill-rate (proposed and published on 6/1/10 at paulding.gov) 2011 Budget 50.9 million @6.50 mill-rate (press release from Jason A. on 6/21/10)

My tetanus shot is not up-to-date. -
Here's the math and the timeline. You can be against it but don't misrepresent the facts. Paulding County Maintenance and Operations Budget 2010 Budget 53.7 million @6.65 mill-rate 2011 Budget 51.4 million @6.65 mill-rate (proposed and published on 6/1/10 at paulding.gov) 2011 Budget 50.9 million @6.50 mill-rate (press release from Jason A. on 6/21/10)
-
What?!?!?! The budget was published on June 1st!!! And was 2.3million down from last year. Jason has asked for an additional $500k on top of the proposed budget. You're confused my man.

Let's see. Me, you, SurePip, Animal, and Maddox in Whitey's garage with a case of beer? I think I'll pass.
