Lots of raw enforcement vehicles at the corner of Bob Huntin Road and Ridge Road... There are numerous coming county sheriff department cars, unmarked cars,and A Paulding county Marshall car. They are all gathered in that church parking lot, no lights. Has anyone heard anything?

Just went from home in Hiram to Hiram Post Office, Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, LaCocina, ate dinner, back home in Hiram and saw NOTHING! Stop debating....non-event. I have many friends that personally know Mr. Pounds and can attest to the fact that he offers the same sentiments whether running for office or not. Tell me this COWA...did the media and certain politicians rush to judgement in these cases as they have many others? Did they indeed fan the flames of discord?

I wouldn't either but this young man needed to take something to his job and they simply didn't think about the protests. He didn't willfully and purposely put his family in danger. My point in posting the incident was to prove that these are not peaceful protests as some people want to portray them. No one should have to fear traveling through their own city. Shameful!

If you are suggesting that they should have used the truck to run over someone, it did not get to that point, however, they were able to speed up and get out of the situation without injuring anyone. They then went straight to the police....

I know that not all of the protestors are there with the intent to loot, destroy property, etc. This young family was violated....they feared for their lives and the lives of their children and the truck that they have worked hard for was damaged. Although this may seem insignificant to some...I can assure you it was a major deal to them and their family. And, how many more of these incidents have happened that we may not have heard about?

And, the "protesting" continues....a young mother that I know rode downtown with her husband and children tonight (he had to take something to his place of employment). Their truck was surrounded...they (the "protestors") tried to break a window in his truck where their young daughter was sitting and dented his truck. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE! If that was my daughter, son, or grandchildren, something WOULD be done to stop this nonsense and violence!

ANYONE that assumes that they know what went down in this case or any case is wrong. There are so many facts that are not known and I HATE the fact that our news media and some politicians rush to judgement based on a video taken by God know who. Who is her dr. and what hospital? My husband had this surgery in March and was in the hospital for three days. I can't imagine them doing this as outpatient. His was lower back and they went on through his stomach. Dr. Kelley with Peachtree Ortho. At Piedmont and a neurosurgeon assisted. Two levels had collapsed, he inserts hardware to fuse both levels at once. He is still doing PT and has some numbness in his left foot but is otherwise doing great. There is NO WAY she should have this done as outpatient!

This is another point regarding Wellstar and I would imagine it's the same with other healthcare systems....my ENT ordered a CT scan of my head. It was set with Wellstar Imaging and would have cost me between $2000-$3000. I have heard Clark Howard say many times to shop around for the best prices in healthcare. While our experiences have not been life-threatening, my husband has had three back surgeries and two shoulder surgeries. We were at Wellstar Cobb for shoulder surgeries and Piedmont for back surgeries. The difference in these two hospitals is astounding. We received optimal care at Piedmont...not so much at Wellstar.
