I don't disagree that you should fight for your job. My question was whether or not you would have been offered one without Union involvement. I know that some schools had to give teachers those letters and then found money to rehire them. I was against NAFTA and have not changed my mind at all about it.

I think you and I have already agreed that when the withdrawal from some of those countries happens the end result will be the battle among the tribes that would have happened if our military had not gone in.
-
I do too but I can't help the folks in other countries by putting employees out of work who are employed in America by those businesses. I love this and it speakes to my answer to some extent: Serenity Prayer. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference

Senate 31 candidate Carruth residency challenged
NewsJunky replied to GreenEyedGirl's topic in Paulding County NEWS
It will have to be soon because we vote in July and the names will have to be officially on the ballot. I would like to know what the hearing date is too. -
Still apples and oranges. We can't control what other countries do and I hope to goodness they are never allowed to control what we do here. It is not because they are not trying. We still have folks who stand against that in America.

Emplyees have the option to go to work somewhere else. If they don't want to share their labor they don't have to. This is still America and there are no chains on their ankles.
-
We can't control what other countries allow and we are discussing workers in America not other countries.
-
You know that I disagree with you about this. I have never understood the jealousy and class warfare that some employees want to direct at the folks who give them jobs. This country has provided equal opportunity for everyone for many many years. If you start telling employers that they must share the wealth and profit with their employees then this country will no longer be a Republic. It will be a Socialist country. Not good for any of us in my opinion.
-
I second that!

How do you really know that you would not have been offered a job anyway. How did it become all about the teachers and not about the students? I know you seem to care but that has been a question I have had for some time.
-
Time to find another way. Unions are strangling business and we need jobs not just jobs if you belong to and are controlled by unions.

Senate 31 candidate Carruth residency challenged

I am having trouble figuring out how some folks can say Bill Carruth is so smart and can twist things to his advantage and in the next sentence say that he is stupid enough to sign a sworn statement that he is a resident of District 31 when it can be proved that he is not. I will be very interested in the outcome of this challenge. For some reason I don't think the man is that stupid. -

The guy was not even on my radar before but I think he is the winner in all of this. -
Beg to disagree about the political suicide comment! Roll Tide Roll. How about a Republican Women's Club Meeting. Keep in mind what happened at the last one.

Crist's Residency Challenged in School Board Race

Even more interesting will be the one about the certificate he signed stating he would not be living in the house. That raises my radar big time. -
I have the same question. I have a feeling that she will.
-
Not going to argue the point with you any longer. See ya!

I'm not fussing at her. She is the one running for a district in Paulding. The way the list is written is what I took issue with. Not her in particular. Her name also happened to be in red.
