I don't intend to be rude and nasty but I will ask hard questions. I disagree with you that national issues do not play a part in these elections. They come home to all states and State Legislatures have to deal with what the Federal Government hands them. The Federal Government is tied up in education and other areas far more than ever before. If the candidates do not want to answer then they have the right to refuse. If they refuse or let someone else answer for them then why would they come on p,com to take part in discussions about their platforms and beliefs. I want to know what the

NO!

I am not surprised that you would take up for him on this issue. Wonder if Melissa Morrison agrees with him too. Think that may be a good question for her too. I am pretty sure that Paulette would not agree with him.

That is correct. The whole idea behind meeting candidates and finding out where they stand is to decide which one to vote for or support. I could not go with one who does not understand what form of government we have in America. The Democrats have been pushing the idea that we live in a Democracy since FDR was President. Thanks for the info and I wish you well. I will be looking at the other two candidates

Or mob rule according to some of the founding fathers. I believe in the Republic. It has worked to keep America free for a long time. The United States is not a Democracy or at least it is not supposed to be. Sorry but I think you just lost me on this one.

But we are not a Democracy we are a Republic. The founding fathers hated the idea of a Democracy.

The person in this office will be voting on state wide issues not just Paulding issues. . The legislature has already had to decide if they were going to implement parts of Obamacare. Georgia has joined the challenge to it. I think it is a valid topic.

Just my opinion but I think your plans will end up costing the county money not saving money at all. Why would your deputies agree to work for less? Are they as well versed in the job as those who now do the job?

Not sure some of the folks mentioned will appreciate your humor. I know that I am losing a little respect for some of the folks involved in this so called exposé. Not one as far as I can tell. -

Correct but party members do and that is really what the poster was asking. The officers can't back anyone in a Primary. feelip. please clarify. -

Looks like a non story. Unless I see more than a DNR representative going with a delegation from Paulding to lobby for money for the reservoir then I see it as political games being played at election time. -
Didn't that get corrected when the money issues he had with the county were resolved?

If it is common to take folks with the Paulding delegation to try and get grants or funds for Georgia then why make a big deal out of Carruth going as a DNR representative? Oh I know, It is political season and he and David are both candidates. -

Still waiting to see if the story airs. -
You would not vote for a conservative anyway. If there was a Democrat running or a Democrat claiming to be a Republican that is where your vote would go. In this race the most conservative has the best chance of winning.

Sounds perfect!

Agree with you on this one Pubby. Some of these races are going to be ugly. -
I did not hear about bladder cancer but I know he declined to debate 4 years ago because of a bad auto accident. Took him quite some time to recover. Ditto! If it isn't really broken why try to fix it.

I am glad you are not a serial killer now answer this "Were you in favor of Obamacare"? Just trying to find out which way you lean. I know you signed on as a Republican but a lot of Democrats are doing that these days. Not accusing you of anything.

I still do not believe the man is that stupid. From all I have heard about him he is a smart guy. I have heard that the hearing has not been announced yet. I am interested to see how it turns out. I think most are backing Bill Heath. -
Justin Rowland Board of Education At Large

The whole county votes on all of the positions. You can run for the at large position and it does not matter what post you live in. You may live in one that is held by another BOE member. -
I have had the same positive experience with him.
