  1. I thought you would say pretty much what you said. Susan Rice came out and lied to the American people about Benghazi. The President can now declare executive Privilege and she can't be questioned any more about it. Power is married to Cass Sunstein. Don't even ask what I think of him. She was fired from the Obama Campaign for calling Hillary a monster. She does not like Israel. That is just a start on why neither of these women should have been promoted.
  2. Do you like Obama's picks, Susan Rice as National Security Advisor, and Samantha Power as United Nations Ambassador. I think I know what you will say. Just confirming.
  3. Glad I wasn't there to see that.
  4. You might be right about Phil. I have been trying to decide who to support. This might make a difference. I have not been sorry about supporting Tom Graves. At least not yet...... Pubby Have you complained about any of the folks Obama is promoting to bigger jobs?
  5. Some of the replies in this thread have made me laugh and I thank you all for that.
  6. I doubt that dancing on stage was a part of that ceremony. Since there was no outrage from anyone I guess we won't know. In the following story we see that the student did break the rules but common sense prevailed... http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/trending-now/valedictorian-rips-preapproved-speech-recites-prayer-instead-172941933.html?vp=1
  7. Personally I agree with you. I do think common sense needs to be used. I don't think it was in either of these cases.
  8. I think it is more likely different people enforcing the rules and some use common sense.
  9. I understand that can be true but in some cases it apparently was not. I am only repeating the reports I heard at the time of the hearing. My Hubby says the way they are handled probably won't be changed and from your comments I guess he is correct. After all you have been in the military and you are a woman. You must have been satisfied with the process even though some of your sisters have not been. interesting article on the hearings... http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/03/15/17299244-rape-on-duty-senate-panel-members-suggest-overhaul-of-military-justice-system?lite
  10. Wish on issues like this that would happen too. Right now it is the Obama administration who is in control and guilty of it. I don't see the folks who supported him taking him to task for it. Instead they are watching silently as he promotes the very people responsible.
  11. For the first time there were a good number of women in the room too.
  12. I was totally against the Patriot Act as my posts here will reflect. Big Brother is here indeed. Did not like the court ruling last week about collecting DNA either.
  13. The whole hearing was about taking the reports out of the chain of command and having the reports go to another source. Sometimes the commanding officers are the accused and the victim has to report the crime to him. At least that is the way I understood id.
  14. I agree with you SOLO. If my kid had done that I would have been very upset with him. If he had worn a feather on his tassel maybe I would not have been. My Great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee so maybe I am biased.
  15. .This was apparently accepted by both the students and the teachers. He was even cheered. The girl in the political correctness gone amok thread was fined $1000 dollars and had her diploma with held. I fail to see the difference except I think her offense was silent and almost unseen.
  16. Apparently it has happened to both sexes. Sorry if you did not already know that . We were speaking of Saxby's comment and not about the act itself. I will say again he was talking about the military and the way they handle these things. Not about the victims.Seems he thinks that boys, when told openly or it is implied by their commanders that it is okay to engage in harassment and assault just might do that.. He does not think that should be happening.
  17. You forgot girls will be girls. Don't think he made a distinction between the two. I heard the statements in full did you?
  18. I saw some statements today about a young girl who got in trouble for wearing a feather at graduation to honor her heritage. Some folks agreed that she was not treated appropriately while others said she should have followed the rules. When I saw this story I could not help but wonder why this student seems to have been treated differently. Dancing could not have been part of the ceremony. How is this different? Still can't post a video http://www.gpb.org/b...aduation-speech
  19. Difference in time and the way women serve today. That is why Saxby made the statements he did. Sorry but I have to agree that when you put young men and women in a close space together for months things can happen that maybe shouldn't. He was slamming the military for not having more protection in place to guard the safety of those who might be attacked. I don't like him and hate defending him but his statements were not against the victims.
  20. Did women serve on naval ships then?
  21. Saxby was actually taken out of context. He was saying that given the ages and the nature of the environment that the young people find themselves in that the Military has not done enough to prevent these things from happening. He was slamming the Military.
  22. You won't know you are eating it because it may not be on the label. Not required....
