DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY FOLDING TABLES; HANGING RACKS?

True. We usually have some left over from a project just thought you might too. -
What would happen if the government shut down?

Not sure what you mean. It is part of Obamcare that Congress and their staffers adhere to it. They are getting a special exemption. What do you mean have their own insurance? -

If you have some plywood and saw horses you can make one. Cover with a cheap plastic table cloth. -

Might have known the media would go into a frenzy over that sarcastic remark. He was in a staff meeting and a couple of Congressmen did not like his Bill to make sure Congress and their staffers are not exempt from Obamacare. He came back with that sarcastic remark and folks who are not for him pounce on it. Wish the media would take Obama to task instead of giving him applause for all his bungling. This was nothing. Here is another take on it: http://www.peachpund...ingrey-remarks/ -
House passes Continuing Res. to Defund Obamacare

Pubby, I think it was an effort to make them live with their own creation. They should not be exempt. -

Democrats would be shutting it down not Republicans. The House voted to fund the government except for Obamacare through December. -

Enter the Death Panels or for those who don't understand that, the panels who will ration health care. That means the elderly may not get treated because it would only add a few years of life. -
Fourth Graders being taught about Pimps and Mobstaz?

Just a few articles on it. Some of the porn and other misinformation will take a little longer to locate for you. I have done a lot of reading on this subject and can't remember all sources. This from a 25 year Math Teacher, professor of science and math education at Mercer University, and Fayette County Board of Education. http://www.ajc.com/weblogs/get-schooled/2013/aug/21/math-prof-common-core-will-set-our-children-back-o/ The study confirms that the Common Core national standards will set our children back one to two years. The math standards specifically are markedly infer -
Oops, it seems Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez was an illegal Alien and he was deported after he was arrested on drug charges. He crossed the border again. Think I just heard he was on the lease where the kidnapped child lived. Why isn't the media all over this? I would like the true facts.

You are speaking of Common Core in Georgia. It is a different animal under the Federal Government. They are finding porn and misinformation in that Common Core. We need to keep local control. -

Congressman Graves has lived up to his word and has worked hard for his Constituents. He has done what they asked him to do. I applaud his efforts and hope that they are fruitful. -

I can't wish ills of that type on anyone. I do wish they would wake up one morning and go to their jobs with a clear understanding of what they have really done to America. -

Saddens me to have to agree with you. I won't go down without fighting for her though. -
Just heard that Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez was an illegal Alien and when he was arrested last year on drug charges they released him instead of deporting him. If they had deported him he could not have kidnapped this young girl.

The majority of the American people are against Obamacare. It would be nice if our Senate did not think they know better than the people they were sent there to represent. -
Well it seems it will go back to the Senate. This Bill funds the Government but defunds Obamacare. http://www.usatoday....utdown/2842199/

This is why there is a battle against Common Core. Hoping our Georgia Legislature votes to get Georgia out of it. This kind of stuff could not even easily be pulled from the Curriculum if the Federal Government is in control. There are other appalling things cropping up in it. -
Drug cartels kidnap family members in Mexico all of the time. Hope their practices are not spreading to the USA.

Active Shooter at US Navy Yard In Washington DC

Totally agree. Those who did not see that this was done will most likely get a pass on their inaction. There are risks and costs to action. But they are far less than the long range risks of comfortable inaction~~~ John F. Kennedy -

Think I read that he got most of the weapons on base. Wondered if they were hidden there or if he gained access to a part of the base where they were stored. Guess the story will continue to unfold. After Ft. Hood I thought lessons were learned but it appears they were not. -
Love your family with all your might and remember to be thankful for the time you have with them. Be thankful for good health if you have it and take a moment to enjoy looking out of your window on a beautiful day. Value your friends and remember that the best way to have one is to be one.

Active Shooter at US Navy Yard In Washington DC
NewsJunky replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Well they should have known. The military should have let them know since he was going to be working in a secured area and he was working for a company contracted. with the Navy. Sounds like some things need to be changed and some cross checking done. If Clinton had not made Military Bases gun free zones maybe someone could have taken the bad guy out before he killed so many people. -

Yes, been there and done that. It still does not answer the question of why a mentally ill person was given clearance to work at the Naval Yard. When the Military knows it and knows of his violent history that clearance should not be given. I don't care if it is a contractors job or a military personal job it just should not happen. We will once again hear noise about banning guns. It is easier to ban these people from holding these jobs and it would not go against the Constitution. JMO.
