  1. i'm thankful for the 20 year age gap in my relationship!!!
  2. sad and poingnant. i've had my experiences with IV drug users, and recovering addicts. it's a tough road. nothing 'glamorous' about it at all in my eyes.

  8. I live a very happy life these days. I'm not afraid to be out and about in public. The places I go are 'safe' and I'm usually surrounded by people who know and love me. A rather amazing feeling! Nights are still hard. I have anxiety issues and nightmares. I choose to stay on the compound in Smyrna at night because I feel absolutely secure here. My ol man come and goes at odd hours, due to his profession. The property stays secured due to the contents of the lot. Its a pretty sweet scenario. I'm free to come and go as I please. Recovery is a slow process. But I'm committed to being happy, he
  9. The ol man went on call, first out, at 6pm this evening. I'm gonna go have some fun with the Band Benefield at Timbers until about midnight, then I expect I'll run the roads with him, picking up DUI cars. Same thing tomorrow night, except I'll be at B3 with Foos McCoy. Sunday I may go to the Paulding house to cut grass and clean up after the apes. Monday I'll be back in the truck all day.
  10. I only mentioned it because we were in touch during that time frame...
  11. Dang. I missed it. Clearly, CWatkins didn't come to the rescue....
  12. No, but your post history clearly spells out that you are in an abusive relationship. I've been there. With the help of some close friends, the CCSO, and an MC that I literally owe my life to, I got out. It was hard. I still have issues. I sleep behind a 10ft fence topped with razor wire at least five nights a week. I had to give up my entire life to get away and keep him away. I'm building a new life now, a good one. Continuing to stay in an abusive marriage when you've been offered safety and security at no charge to you is a slap in the face to many women who have been in your shoes and
  13. I'm all about reading, especially if the material can help explain something you've been through. However, a book won't make it stop. Please get help.
  14. Im totally pitching an adult version of this theme to my buddy over at B3 Bar and Billiards... Many Thanks for the idea!!!!
  15. I sent a cheesecake and some balloons. I've got a gift certificate for a mani-pedi to take to her tomorrow evening. The ol man got him some pipe tobacco to smoke while we go do the girly thing. Best we could come up with...
  16. With our work schedules, its hard to have any sort of routine. Every other week my ol man is on call. We eat when we can. Its not unusual to get halfway through cooking, have to turn everything off to run a call, then come back to it over an hour later. Usually 8pm is his limit though. If he can't get a meal in by then he gives up and grabs something on the road.
  17. one of my ol man's 'brothers' dumped his bike on Saturday and broke his wrist. he had surgery today and is gonna be around the house for the next 2-3 months...so, i figured i'd put together some sort of gift basket for his ol lady to make her feel better about having to put up with his cranky ass for so long. neither of them drink, so i can't send liquor. he has terrible allergiers, so i can't send flowers. it's not really legal to gift wrap Xanax...maybe just a hammer with a bow tied around the handle? seriously. i have to send *something*. any suggestions?
  18. i can't remember the last time i saw gravy..... every morning i get a toasted "skinny" bagel and a cup of yoplait yogurt served to me in bed. (except on sundays when we go to Vittles and i pig out on pancakes!) lunch is usually a boiled egg, some string cheese, a piece of fruit, and a small serving of greens. lately dinner has been fish/seafood or chicken with grilled veggies and a fresh fruit salad. the international farmers market on Spring St has become my favorite place to grocery shop!!!
  19. I can never tell. We live right across the street from Dobbins and there's a train track that runs down the side of our road. Its noisy outside all the time.....
  20. If folks are gonna leave stuff in drawers of motel room and cabins, porn might be the way to go. Just sayin'.
  21. A good decongestant should help. When you have fluid behind your ear drum, its snot. Gross as hell. Not much you can do from the outside, as the eardrum isn't permeable. Gotta treat it from the inside. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon! PS...drink lots of water if you take a decongestant. It will seriously dry you up...
  22. Crap. I haven't been to their house since that one party back in 08. I feel so old now....
