i just crawled out of the bed!

took a valium and jumped in with both feet. now i have little mermaid hairs.

oooh. good job! i can't even shave in the shower. hafta do it in the tub.

whatcha reading? i'm out of new material.

holy crap. makeup makes me look OLD. we were at the theatre tonight, and when my husband came out of the restroom he walked right past me. didn't recognize me at all.

two after pics. one with make up on. one without. both pretty crappy, but they show my hair pretty well. i'll wash it in the morning and not straighten it. hopefully i can get some better pics then.

i got my hairs did. and went on a date. a real one. the kind with dinner and an event which required tickets to be purchased in advance.

i kinda did. i went red. full on red. but my stylist came up with a more sensible cut for me. she knows i'm not one to 'fix' my hair. lets face it. i sleep with it wet and however it looks in the morning is how it looks all day. the style i had picked out would involve a blowdryer, and a round brush, and at least one product if not more. i lost a little length, which was stringy and uneven anyway, and gained a ton of textured layers. not choppy ones though. i have the cutest bangs!!!! right now it's blown out straight and just tucked behind my ears. it'll prolly be wavy and full of

i was at the salon until just after 4pm. only home for 5 more minutes before we leave to go do that thing. you know, the stocking stuffer thing. won't be home til about 10 tonight. hair looks great. nothing like the picture. but still great. the after pic will take some time. hafta be artfully lighted and make sure there's no paraphernalia or anything gross in the background. maybe later tonight. maybe in the morning.

my hair is actually quite thin. (the individual strands of it) there's just a ton of it attached to my head. the way i shed though, you'd think i'd be bald.

ok, i've emailed the pic to my stylist laura, over at bloom salon. i'm really getting excited for my appointment at noon!!!!!

i'll be thinking about him today and hoping he stays safe. don't stress, ok?

he knows me and my hair drama. been there done that, bless his heart. i'm not sure about the lipstick. something that's been in a drawer forever, i'm sure. i rarely wear make up.

thanks! i'm hoping that professional color will hold better than the clairol crap i've used at home. i'm willing to commit to appts every 6 weeks for maintenance. i really do want more of a brown then red. light auburn i think.

here's a before pic. taken this christmas. this was almost 2 years ago, home color job. washed out in 3 weeks. i'm hoping professional color will last longer. the darker color does a lot more for my features than the washed out blonde does.

have you tried a magic eraser? they're good for all sorts of things.

if my natural color wasn't blonde, that would be ideal. maybe i can just foil in some darker red?

how awkward is it going to be for me to drag my laptop into the salon tomorrow to show my stylist?

i LOVE all the layers, and my hair is long enough to do this with. i have a lot of natural body so it would be wavier than this if i didn't straighten it. i'm just sick of the blonde on blonde, straight across bangs look that i have. i wanna go light auburn, not brown, not red....with blonde highlights. add some depth and dimension.
