when i was six and my sister was nine, we got matching teddy bears for christmas. years later, i got pissed at her for something and threw hers away. then i felt guilty and replaced it with mine. she never knew about the switch. then she died and i got it back. weird.

thank god. now i'm not as pissed about having to stay up late and do laundry.

my kids were all potty trained by the end of their 2nd summer. i took away their clothes. they'd much rather poop in the potty than on the floor. especially after they had to clean up after themselves a few times.

ok. i completely understand wanting your daughter to be safe, i've taught my kids since they were kneehigh to not get in the car with strangers. i still can't understand what kind of danger she was in from a man who was sitting in his car, while she was out walking around. especially a man who was leaing over to the passenger side of his car to open a door. it's not as is he was leaping out of his car on the drivers side to drag her away. anyway. i'm glad that you taught your daughter not to ride with strangers.

i hold out for guys with built in usb ports.

by the time they're college aged, shouldn't we have already taught our children to be aware of their surrounding, and to not get in the car with strangers?

...and he opened his door.

TakeItToTheLimit...with C.Mark Willix -
i'm a parent, and i'm alert. and i plan to sit down with my kids this afternoon and let them know that if any old people call out to them and need help, they're to immediately ask how that can be of assistance. especially if the old person is polite enough to say 'excuse me'. there's no reason to get into a car with someone, in order to help them. and there's no reason to assume that a person wants you to get in their car, just because they opened the door and said 'excuse me'. what is this world coming to? macing old, lost folks.... for shame!!!!

well, if i see a grey silverado with a jacked up steering column, better believe i'm calling the cops!!!

doesn't that get a little obvious though? having to hotwire your truck before you leave the gas station, or work, or church?
-
