I have NO problem with them missing school due to the weather (we haven't left our home since Saturday and don't plan on leaving until the roads are safe to get on, because "potentially saving the lives of our Paulding County students by keeping them safe and sound and off the streets" is on the top of my list ), I just asked that they (the board) not take away from their winter break to make up for it.

Me first.... My daughter is an Allstar Cheerleader and we will be going to Texas for a competition that week. It is something that has been planned now for the whole season and it's the biggest one of the year for us. We are driving and need the days for travel..... so PLEASE don't take it away....

From my facebook page..... Paulding County Sheriff The BOC has announced that all Paulding County Government Offices will be closed tomorrow due to the expected inclement weather for our area. The City of Hiram is also announcing their closing of all city offices including Hiram Municipal Court.

My daughter (7) has the same thing. We spent most of yesterday in the ER because her fever was so high. It finally came down and we were allowed to leave. She has the same things your daughter has plus her tummy has been hurting. she has the body aches as well. They tested her for strep and the flu..... it came back the flu. She had to be checked out of school on Tuesday and the hospital said not to send her back until next week (if her fever is gone). I hope everyone feels better soon.

We had chili lastnight, tonight we had hot dogs with cheese in cresent rolls with a side of leftover chili and fries.

I was at Rack Room Shoes checking out and the manager told us that today around 2:45 the were robbed at gunpoint. That's all he said about it. I didn't see anything on here about it.

I bought frozen white cream corn YESTERDAY. I was about to make it tonight with our dinner when, I noticed the expiration date was JULY 2010. My husband takes it back to the store and was told "I don't know how that happened." Then they told him to go get another one. When he gets to the freezer case he finds not one but two more that were bad (July 2010). He then finds the "NEW" ones and their date was May 2012. They then tell him those "OLD" ones have been there for two years. They couldn't explain why they haven't been pulled from the shelf. So please be watchful of what you buy in the free

We don't know what happened but we were on Brownsville around 12 lastnight and the WHOLE sky lit up green and blue...by the time we got to 92 the was NO power anywhere. My husbands parent live in Sweetwater Landing so we went and checked on them (they were ok) then we went down Sweetwater Rd to Bakers Bridge again no power until we got to the Kroger at Ridge Rd. We saw no wrecks,or no fires from lighting... nothing. We then went home. We had power! Still no clue what happened but the sky did look neat when it was green... I hope everyone (where ever or whatever happened) is ok.
