Does public speaking frighten you?
MarkPalm replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I really enjoy it. In high school I recall doing pretty well on the extemporaneous speaking assignments I was given. I enjoy teaching as well. That has been one of the highlights of my professional work, teaching real estate related courses to agents. It's just fun. I guess that ability is why I also enjoy the KJ work. -

This is the greatest thing Pcom does and they do it very well. I don't know how we survived without it.

The Wearhouse will be open EVERY DAY thru Xmas Eve
MarkPalm replied to wear's topic in Business NEWS
I was there today too. I just posted my pics of what I purchased for very little money. I love the place. I will definitely be back. -
I visited The Wearhouse for the first time today and I've got to tell you if you like good deals you better get over there. AMAZING DEALS. I walked out with two bags of brand new clothes for $46.01. Two pair of Banana Republic jeans with the tags still on them priced at $98.50 for $15 each. Two scarves and a denim shirt. You can't get those prices anywhere I've been. New clothes for cheap, cheap, cheap. Support a local business and a get a heck of a deal. They have tons of clothes and jewelry and accessories. I saw a ladies leather jacket, brand new for $20. Exceptional customer service. They

Did the fourth call mention anything about what day we are supposed to Trick or Treat? I've been waiting to find out since early October. I'm afraid I might have missed it.

I had a yummy sausage biscuit from The Corner Cafe on the square. I was the only one in there. If you guys ever want breakfast, lunch or dinner, you really should check them out. VERY NICE PEOPLE. Great place.

Jimmy and I made it the five miles down Browning and Vinson Mtn to get my truck that I parked along the road. Then on to Crossroads Church up to Scott's for coffee. WSB Radio said that 278 was closed at Goldmine. I called them to confirm I heard that right. When I got to the end of Goldmine just to be sure, because we saw no sign of a backup, it was clear. It dawned on me they must have meant the other end of Goldmine. We sailed to the Pcom office on the Dallas square driving cautiously. We've been here about 45 mins. Corner Cafe is open and it sure was nice to get a hot sausage biscuit this m

My husband was just held hostage for 3 hours

I am too. -
You are a true friend and I can't thank you enough. I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make up this kindness.

Talked to Anita. Her adventure would have sent me over the edge. She had a little trouble on Vinson Mtn but a nice stranger helped her get the golf cart straightened out again and she got home. Bless her heart she really took care of me tonight and I'll never forget it.

Some of us are from the South and are not used to this weather at all. Not to mention we really had no warning as conditions changed very quickly. My ride home was awful and I didn't make it without some help. Choosing to abandon my vehicle and catch a ride in my friend's golf cart for five miles. All I can say for those of you that are experienced driving on ice, give those of us that aren't a break. I've been home for a while and I'm still shaking and upset about it. When you're in a light truck, rear wheel drive, stick shift, you don't have a lot of choice when you start sliding and it's ve

Anita is home. Although she said she had an adventure on the way there, I got that in a text I'm waiting on her call.

She is in her golf cart. The normal 7 or so minute drive took us probably about 20 mins tonight. I keep thinking she should be home any minute. I'm still waiting to hear.
-
I'm still waiting on her call that she got back home. I'm a nervous wreck. Finally coming down and I'm choking back tears. This night was awful. I don't know what I would have done if not for Anita.

There are good people I've met through Pcom. People I count as dear friends. I met Anita last winter while we were bowling for boobies on Mondays. Such a sweet lady. She proved how wonderful she is tonight. I was stuck on Gold Mine Road trying to get home for an hour. Once I got off Gold Mine to Crossroads Church Road to get home I slid sideways all the way down the hill. I finally got to the three way stop just down from Anita's driveway and called her. She came and rescued me in her golf cart and we had an adventure for the near five miles she drove me home. She came in to get some hot choco

If I found out I had bone marrow with resistant cells I'd be the first person to sign up and tell them to take all they could. If this is true, I'd run naked through the streets of Downtown Dallas in praise and acclamation. This disease is horrific. I know you're being sarcastic but your comment made me think of this. The subject matter addressed here was done so years ahead of when it was politically correct. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2ANOaczfhk

That's awesome. Sewing is a dying art. I applaud you for doing this. Helping teach folks to be self sustaining. Something we all should be trying to do a lot more in these times. Good job, Pat. -
If I'm in traffic and I see a funeral procession, not only do I pull off the road but I also remove my hat if I'm wearing one. I don't know why, it just seems like the respectful thing to do.

Has anyone seen Pak Medical. She's got a set on her green bug.

I've been involved with the arrangements on only one funeral. When my maternal grandfather died. Several of us didn't like him much. My oldest uncle included. When we were in the back room of Clark's picking out a box my uncle saw a short one. He said, can't we just cut him half and double him up in this one, it's cheaper. I was certain Sam Clark, who we've known for a long time, nearly choked. My uncle is known for his witty and usually inappropriate humor. I laughed out loud, I couldn't help myself. I didn't like my grandfather very much either.
