I didn't realize there would be a Publix out that way as well, so thatnk you for that, Emily.

The Publix is going up at the entrance to Seven Hills -- there is already a CVS, a bank, and coming soon a Beef O Brady's --

From my house it takes longer than 15 to get to Hiram -- every time I have been the traffic around Target etc. is just horrible -- I can get to Target on 41 in 10 min and the traffic and parking lot aren't crazy --

Very rarely -- It's much easier to go to 41 -- and traffic in Hiram stinks!!!!!
We play baseball in Cobb cause Paulding's baseball is so political etc. Plus Joe started playing there when we lived in Cobb and has been there for 3 years now -- he knows the kids, coaches, umps, etc. Oh and the fields are nice too --

It's just like any other city wide sale! I read about it in the paper and Tina from the antique store answered some questions I had. It's inside the city limits of Dallas, main street is going to be shut down like when they have the car shows, and you can rent a space in the street if you don't live inside the city limits and have your sale there. She said from the number of spots that have been sold for the street and the people that have said they will join in, it looks like it will be huge!

Teen Surrenders After School Bomb Threat
A 15-year-old male student who was holed up inside the front office of Jackson County Comprehensive High School has surrendered. The school was evacuated during the ordeal and no injuries were reported.

Police are negotiating with a 15-year-old male student who has locked himself inside the front office of Jackson County High School, where he claims to have a bomb in his possession, 11Alive's Jerry Carnes reports from the scene.
Students, teachers and administrators have been evacuated from the building. A bomb disposal team from UGA as well as several other agencies are assisting in the case.
The teenager is alone in the office, authorities said, adding that he went straight to the office when he entered the school this morning. Police confirmed the teen does have some sort of device but they are not sure what it is.
The students have been moved to a nearby athletic field. The school has not been closed for the day.

VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) -- A Georgia sailor with Nebraska ties was one of three members of a U.S. military explosive disposal unit killed in combat in Iraq, officials said Monday.
Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Joseph A. McSween, 26, of Valdosta, died Friday near Kirkuk in northern Iraq, the Pentagon said.
He graduated from York College in York, Neb., in 2003.
McSween was assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit 11, based at Whidbey Island, Wash. Also killed were Chief Petty Officer Gregory J. Billiter, 36, of Villa Hills, Ky., and Petty Officer 2nd Class Curtis R. Hall, 24, of Burley, Idaho, the Defense Department said.

Details of how the three were killed were not disclosed. They were specialists in identifying explosive materials and disarming them.
John Klimko, McSween' youth pastor at Central Avenue Church of Christ, described him as someone who loved to help others and who got along with everyone.
"He studied and was really interested in the ministry," the pastor told The Valdosta Daily Times. "He conducted services for the shut-in and did yard work for the elderly."
"His faith was always important to him," Klimko said.
McSween attended Valdosta High School and graduated from Georgia Christian. He attended York College in Nebraska on a track scholarship.
He is survived by his wife, Erin, who also graduated from York College in 2003, and daughters Lily, 5, and Gwyneth, 2, of Oak Harbor, Wash.
The son of Bob and Florence McSween, he had two brothers, Robert and Kyle, and a sister, Angela.
McSween "was just a very likable guy," said Steddon Sikes from York College public relations. "His big smile, mixed with his southern charm, made it easy to be around him."
Jared Stark, now assistant dean of students at York College, met McSween during a leadership camp.
"He always talked about going into the military," Stark said. "He was very driven to join, and he went to a lot of training sessions."
York College president Wayner Baker said he spoke to McSween's wife and was told he will be buried in York, where they met.
"This was where they met, fell in love and this is the place she said they call home," Baker said.
