    The power is back on now, but we loose power in this area at least once a week. I am about a mile from Abney and my son said there was no power there either

    While I was in the Abney car rider line, a fire truck zoomed by us, lights, sirens, the whole sha-bang?? But that may not be related at all to this thread, not sure??

    I have a 7 year old. That would not happen here. I am all of about 5ft. tall, but he knows who the boss is in this house! Some people, sheesh! And our tax dollars are paying for the SO to deal with that!

    Gos bless this woman and help her deal with these tremendous losses. I am so sorry this has happened. My prayers are with you everyday. I did not know your son personally, but he will never be forgotten by this entire community.

    That article is beautiful! I went to the Picketts Mill shelter a few hours ago to drop off some cookies for tomorrow. It was very very sad. The parking lot was almost full and there were lots of people. I did not know the families involved, but a parent should not have to burry their child, I am so sorry for the loss. God Bless.
