I have not seen this house or the people you speak of. I will say if things were this bad and i felt like it was to the point of it being out of control and unhealthy for the kids ,yes that is what DFACS is for to check out their situation. and decide if something needs to be done.

Yes and that is when help needs to take a big part. I do know they would fight to not have help.That is why their is help for people like that. The show doesn't talk about people under the same roof. It was showing a family that hasn't seen their parents in many years and then return for the shock of what has happen to them. I was saying by watching the show this is what i couldn't understand. Why one of their kids would wait so many years and then check on them. Then wonder how this happened to them. I just couldn't see how they could show that they cared so much. Why not before. I truly believe everyone holds on to some things and can keep things in check. The problem is the one's who can't.Like these people on this show. If it is starting to get to the point that they need help. I think it should be started then. Not leave it till the point that every bit of help is almost lost. I think i would rather see them lose everything that they saved.House and everything in it.If their was even just a fragment of hope for them to live a normal and healthier life.If that is what it would take.

What i was saying was if family would keep up with them. Then if you see it happening get them help then. Not wait till it get's to that point.

I have watched this show and what get's me is all these people have kids.Why do these kids wait untill it is almost to late to keep this from happening to their loved one's. It is clear the person is having troubles in their lives to get them in this shape.The kids should of been more involved over the years with them. Then just maybe things wouldn't of gotten to that point.Waiting until the last minute is not going to cut it. When your mother or father live's alone always keep up on them. You would be surprised at what a difference it would make. Loneliness can make a person want to hold
