  1. This topic makes me I so want to draw a sketch of my neighbors last weekend. They are career criminals and they were helping the police load up stuff they (the criminals) stole from a church down the street. Yes, they were HELPING the police. Of course they denied stealing it and had no idea how it got into their yard I'm sure they'll steal stuff from other people in the county too since they are out walking around enjoying their freedom.
  2. Looking for input here. He was wanting to have a zombie themed birthday but I'm thinking it might be easier to just have it somewhere (Stars & Strikes?) instead of invite everyone to our house. (and instead let him have over 2 or 3 friends and have a zombie party for Halloween) With that said...what places would 9 & 10 year old boys enjoy? I feel like that is such an odd age. They aren't really little kids anymore but are very much not teens yet.
  3. Sadly I'm not surprised. I got my handy dandy education in Massachusetts
  4. Take a picture of the dog/s, develop it and take it to animal control. It really works!
  5. I know its hard to not get upset when your baby doesn't get off the bus but the good news is that they are still on it and not lost. People need to cut everyone at school some slack. Accidents do happen and there isn't anyone that wakes up in the morning and says "think I'll lose someones kid today" and to parents...you might not think much about it when you change your kids mode of transportation every so often but those changes can be confusing to the teachers and bus drivers. It may seem trivial but they get used to a routine just like the kids. If you make changes often you are bound
  6. My wee one falls asleep all the time during the bus route. Has been since Kindergarten. We are so lucky that the driver realizes this happens and wakes him up when she gets to our stop. It also helps that the younger ones sit in the front of the bus. We our bus driver
  7. I did that once when I was about 6 or 7. I assure everyone, it isn't as traumatizing as you think. I was more afraid of getting in trouble for not paying attention than I was of being lost haha.
  8. Thats what I was wondering Good news! I don't dare leave my kids unattended in the car for one minute. I thought that was kind of against the law.
  9. Wow that was all really interesting to read! Thanks guys!!
  10. omg cant believe I missed this post! Keep the cost down for the public.....I hate when I go to a "taste of" event and have to buy tickets. Blue Ridge had their....I think it was $8 for a wrist band and you were able to taste everything once. Heck I'd even pay $10 but it stinks when you go to Marietta's and get like 8 tickets for $20 and most places take 2. I think a cook-off might be fun....I enjoy it more when it is little mom & pop places (or even just regular ol' people) versus big chain restaurants. Chili is always a winner.....I think BBQ and the such would be winners too
  11. sigh but I thought we couldn't get what we owe thanks to all the foreclosures in here
  12. Silly me for forgetting our useful airport! That sure was a smart move...now we'll all be able to land our airplanes there and what not... Don't tell me you don't have an airplane
  13. We want to sell our house. It isn't a foreclosure but we'll sell for what we owe
  14. I've lost faith in the police. They are always at my neighbors because of all the criminals that hide out over there. All they did the other day was fill their police cars up with metal. I guess they needed a shed or something at the SO.
  15. I heard that too but it probably won't happen any time soon. I'm sure if this area were closer to Cobb the powers that be may move more quickly to make things happen. But hey at least we have our little run down "ball field" squished between dilapidated homes and a cow pasture.
  16. Yeah but it is still a bit of a distance especially for the people out in or towards Yorkville We do go there from time to time. It's about maybe 20 minutes away. It would just be nice to get one more local instead of having to drive half way into Dallas. Plus at certain times it is a nightmare to get into or out of that park.
  17. Sure would be nice if we could get a park out in this area. Everyone seems to forget about the New Georgia/Union Community area. When do we get an actual park like Burnt Hickory?
  18. We bought our Jeep this year. Bought it new but I guess I thought we wouldn't have to pay the tag thing because I thought it was all bundled in. 2 months later I had to shell out something like $330 for the stupid ad valorem thingy. More than the car payment! I think we should tax Paulding County for not having more public transportation available and sidewalks. Pfht.
  19. It was odd. I kept wondering why she didn't either pull over or get out of his way.
