Mine went way up this time. It's hard to determine though. We have only been in this house a couple of months. The first time it was $53 for water and sewer. This bill was $83. There are 2 adults and 3 kids in my house. Of course, one of those is a 3yr old who LOVES to get a step stool and climb to the kitchen sink and play in the water. Had to tell him to stop doing that.

Thank you for that info. I may do the same thing each year and go back and forth. Seems crazy that you have to do that, but what ever it takes. And actually I called the company I have my car financed through, and talked with them about refinancing. It did help some. Lowered my interest rate by a few percentage rates, lowered my payments some, and I will get it paid off a tad bit earlier. Not a HUGE difference in payments, but it all helps.

OK. It will not do me any good to refinance, even though I would get a much lower interest rate through a credit union. With the loan that I have now, I paid almost all interest up front. Now what is left is the principal balance, so that stinks. But the day was not a total loss. I was still able to lower my car insurance rates.

That lady crawls all over every last nerve I have left in me!!! That the best thing about TiVo...I fastforward through those stupid commercials.

OK, so far, this is what I have done. I went to the AAA website, and did an auto insurance comparison through them. Put in all my info, and it came back and gave me a quote on 4 companies. The cheapest was Progressive. Right now, my 6 month premium through Geico is $934.50. That required $224/dn and 4 payments for the same, and then 2 months with no payment. Progressive will be $716.00 This would require a down payment of $179 and 5 installments of $112.40. I actually do this a lot. Some times it's easy to find answers on there, and other times, not so much. But I will give it a try. I did find out that I do not have any early pay-off penalties with my current loan, but OMG I am paying an extremely high interest rate. I definitely think looking into refinancing the auto loan is necessary.

I have had Geico for a couple of years now, but even with no tickets or accidents for several years, the price seems to keep creeping up, when I think it should be going down. I didn't really want to have to spend ALL DAY calling separate companies. That is why I was hoping to find out that website. I am thinking about trying Amica. Any one use them, and how do you like them?

I have been thinking about making some changes, and would like to get some input from others who may have done the same thing recently. 1.) I am thinking about changing my auto insurance company. I am pretty sure I can get it cheaper than I am paying now, through a different company. I am thinking there is a website that you can go to, where you can put your information in, and it will give you quotes from several companies? Has anyone done this, and do you have the website information? 2.) I would also like to see about refinancing my car loan. I have been paying on it for 2 yrs
