  1. JSYK - you have me craving soup now. Looks like I will be making a trip to Publix for some Broccoli and cheddar soup for lunch.
  2. BTW, I have gotten to where I use garlic sea salt a good bit when cooking. I have both regular and garlic in my cabinet at all times these days. I think a big pot of potato soup will be for dinner one night this week. Not tonight though. I am thawing out the pork steaks as we speak for tonight's dinner. YUMMY!
  3. Wow. Do you have any idea how many times I buy rotisserie chickens to make dumplings or pot pies or various things with it, pick all the meat off the bones and throw out the skin and bones and fat? ALL THE TIME!! lol
  4. THANK YOU! I feel so much better about things. I may have to get a second job (which I am probably going to have to do any way since no child support is coming in), but it's teaching my kids a good lesson.
  5. UPDATE: So I spent the weekend trying to decide exactly how I wanted to do this. I decided to get a wipe on/wipe off board, and set down the ground rules. There are certain thing expected of them, that they will NOT be paid for, BUT can be docked for not doing. 1. No dropping things at the front door when they walk in. All of their belongings will be kept IN THEIR rooms, and not left all over the house. If their stuff is found spread all over the house, they will have a deduction on their tabs. 2. They have until 5pm each day to make sure their rooms are clean. This mea
  6. Copschick will take care of you. PM for contact info.
  7. I had to take care of some things around the house today, but was able to go for a couple of hours with Copschick. Weather was perfect and it's always great seeing every one. Oh.... and today I only got a regular hug from LPPT, but I have had many bewbie hugs from her in the past. She was behaving while we were there today.
  8. Hey Lumak!! Those little ones you had with you today were adorable!
  9. GREEAAT!! Now I am going to have to go and find me a different cutesy dragonfly. I will never look at that one the same again.
  10. Thank you so much. I would greatly appreciate it.
  11. So what you are saying, is that it's another regular day in Paulding County?
  12. It's that time of year again when we are all cleaning out our kids closets as the season's are changing once again, trying to see what they can still wear from last year, and what we need to get them. I cleaned out my son's closet last weekend and gave away a big bag of clothes to another pcom member. My 11 yo son just won't stop growing out of his pants. He is in desperate need of 14 husky pants, so if any one on here has a child who has out grown this size, I would love to take them off of your hands for you.
  13. The sound of the ex's truck coming up the road.
  14. Yea... I was never really good at those either. And I am 5'3" and my oldest is 6'2"
  15. More good ideas. Oh, and Epiphany....about the bathrooms: We have 3 bathrooms. One on the main floor that is very small. It is right next to my oldest's room, but he would have to share it with my sister. We rent a home together and she has a 3 yo. The second one is supposed to be shared between the 11 yo boy and the 14 yo girl. It is a jack and jill between their bedrooms. The 3rd is my bathroom. It is a very large bathroom, with a large L shaped counter with 2 sinks. Both of my son's end up sharing my bathroom, and my sister bathes my 3yo nephew in my large tub. Just makes thin
  16. I cannot even tell you how many times I have thought about this lately. I can see this so clearly now. When they were younger, it never crossed my mind. I think I always expected them to see all that I did for them, and the way I expected my house to be, and just thought they would learn from my example. Let me add that this was on some many levels that I thought they would learn by my example. I go to work every day, pay my bills, never walk away from my responsibilities, I believe in honesty, I don't drink or smoke..... I have long talks with my kids and try to get them to think
  17. Man, if I did not know better, I would swear you know us all too well personally. OK. I have slacked on the 18yo on the job thing just because I know the p/t job is right around the corner. Once that gig is up, he will be made to find something else quickly. I know for a fact they are out there. He did work all summer, so he has only not been working since school started back, but I totally get and agree with what you are saying. If I had to bet, you are totally right about the 11 yo raking up, and the 14yo princess standing there with her mouth wide open with nothing coming out,
