If they get extras, that price goes way up. I don't mind mine getting extras, seems the portions they give aren't enough to fill them up. I noticed that a lot when I subbed at the elementary level. Sad because a lot of kids aren't able to get extras and for some, that's the only good meal they get for the day. I saw cases where school was the only place kids got a meal, period. I'm hoping that a few schools are still running the summer programs where the kids can come and get a hot meal, otherwise, some don't eat. Very heartbreaking, several of the reporters broke down. I'm also hearing quite a few stories of so many selfless acts of heroism. I heard on the news that they're having to turn away volunteers, so many want to help. That's a good thing. Praying.
