  1. If I'm not mistaken and I'm not, the new round of violence started with civilians shooting at other civilians and a young person was shot. So more people brought more guns until it was a mob scene that ended with employees of a McDonalds locking themselves in a storage closet because the looters with guns had taken over the restaurant. What exactly did that have to do with the police? Thugs fired on their own people and caused the problems that required the National Guard to be brought in. WTH?! Bless their hearts, they are so desperate and destitute, it's completely understandable behavior.
  2. Embracing guns=embracing drinking? Horse hockey. I know way too many people who love guns and shoot on a regular basis that don't drink a drop. One has nothing to do with the other. I own a gun, many actually, so I obviously shoot while I'm drunk. What a load.
  3. So why is there only rioting when a cop shoots a black person and blacks can kill blacks from here til next Tuesday and the same rioters don't bat an eye? As long as they kill eachother, it's OK somehow? It's ridiculous.
  4. I was with 23 people this weekend who all have carry permits. We shot every kind of gun imaginable and not one of those people including me, has ever shot anyone. Ya' know why? Because none of us are idiots. Idiots will have guns, permit or not.
  5. This autopsy was handled by someone the family hired and not the county ME according to what I have read. I wonder how the findings are going to go over with the family being that he wasn't shot in the back as stated by all the witnesses. The attorney for the family is focusing on the 'kill shot' their words not mine, that entered at the top of his head and exited out oho his right eye. If you're running toward a person and they begin to shoot, two in the bottom of the right arm, two higher up, one in the throat and one in the very top of his head, could that be explained because he began to f
  6. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO don't tell. Google isn't my friend today! How about TMI!
  7. Should we google it? I don't want my computer to start smokin'.
  8. In learning how to shoot, I've taken instruction from 2 different police officers and they taught me to 'double tap' like police forces teach their recruits to do. Pop-pop, pop-pop, pop-pop, that could account for the six shots and it would only take a a few seconds to fire off those rounds. Did they estimate at what distance he was from the officer when he was killed?
  9. This makes me C-R-A-Z-Y(er)! Many don't even start looking for a pen until they're at the window. AAAAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!! I wonder that too, I have no idea.
  10. I HATE the vending machines at school and I've never supplied money for them. I always felt that they were there for the school to make extra money and never thought that selling crap to the kids was the way to go about it.
  11. Middleschooler takes peanut butter too, he loves it. PB, no J, Cheetoes, 2 cookies and a banana. That's been the same since he was in kindergarten.
  12. I agree and remember Jamie Olivers attempts as well. He was sent packin' real quick.
  13. Who said that schools were starving kids? It's a conversation about how things have changed and the differences between this year and last. You aren't even making any sense. I went to Wills in Smyrna, not fancy.
  14. In high school, we had milkshakes at lunch, no vending machines. I don't think that the lunches are only 300 calories, they just taste that way. They seem to have changes a lot from last year.
  15. And herein lies the issue for me.......they DO know how to act, they're just choosing to act bad. My mother never taught me point blank not to kill people, not to fight with the police, not to rob a bank or a liquor store, etc., I just knew not to do it. And believe me, I didn't learn these things by following the good examples my family set. If I'd have followed in many of their footsteps, I'd probably be an addict, in jail or dead. Some things you just know and who thinks it's ever OK to loot, burn and cause general mayhem and wanton destruction?
  16. No kidding. 'OK folks, time to call it a night and go home'. Yea....that'll work. I think that there is already a topic about that on here.
  17. I wonder if a 'No Looting' sign would have helped?
  18. How about a curfew from dusk til dawn? But midnight? How stupid.
  19. There are actually schools that do inspect lunches from home. A lot of school have a 'NO peanut butter' rule, which includes sandwiches, cookies, anything with PB. Also, if foods are too fatty or there are too many sweets, they send a note home requesting a more healthy alternative. Luckily, our school doesn't do that, it wouldn't go over well if it did.
  20. My son has talked about the same thing too. I never supplied money for snacks in the vending machines, but he said that they are now filled with 'healthy stuff', whatever that means. I think in his mind it means no candy and chips. He said that the pizza and chicken sandwiches have changed in the cafeteria too. He has never complained about lunchroom food before, it just started this year. He will probably be taking his lunch from now on.
  21. Indeed. Looting McDonalds will solve all of their problems for sure. But as helpless and desperate as these poor people feel, it's understandable, right?
  22. I love it when the photo that is shown when the police are looking for an active suspect/criminal is a mug shot. Common sense would tell you to keep them after you took their picture. How many people do we see on the news everyday that is wanted for something and they show you the previous mugshot? It's absurd.
