PIM will not tell patients where she has went because of fear of patients following her. She is an AWESOME doctor!!! She will be working for Wellstar urgent care at Cooper Lake (Smyrna) mostly and the one at East Cobb (only occasionally). Link to post Share on other sites

She was the best there. And they are right I will follow. Thank you. Is that Urgent care on S.Cobb drive or at Cooperlake and S. Cobb? It's sad when you go to a place and see two people in the waiting room and know you have a three hour wait and the front office people could care less.... If you are talking about place in Hiram close to North Atlanta Superstore, same here. Waste of time & money. I do not know doctor we saw 1-1/2 years ago but she totally and absolutely misdiagnosed my grandson's illness. Luckily we went to a pediatrician 4 days later where the actual illness was correctly diagnosed, specialist referred and then properly treated. Link to post Share on other sites
Candycane Posted February 4, 2013 Report Share Posted February 4, 2013 That Urgent care is horrible, I went there with extremely high blood pressure and they sent me home with BP readings of 180/101. I got sicker later that night and went to emergency room blood presssure was 220/110. The ER doctor said they should have called for an ambulance I should have never been sent home. My son has a serious life threatening condition that can quickly turn fatal if he becomes sick. I don't tolerate seeing a NP when he is sick and a casual diagnosis of a viral infection and sent home to treat the symptoms and your done diagnoses could kill him. Dr. Mayfield is excellent at picking up on symptoms that could point to the beginning of a serious illness. She is better than any GP I have ever been to. Link to post Share on other sites

My oldest daughter went to New Hope Urgent Care a few weeks ago with vomiting and a horrible headache. Dr. Mayfield sent her immediately to the hospital because her right pupil was fixed and dilated. A nurse met her at the ER at Paulding, they did a CAT scan and she had a blood clot behind her eye from a blow from a kickball. They treated her and she's fine. Don't know if she's still there, but she diagnosed my wife's shingles and arranged dor an immediate appt. with an Eye Dr. Second Dr. we saw there recently wasn't as good.
