Usually when these stories come out, it's not that the sources aren't reliable.....it's that they don't want to be revealed. Richardson's story was the same way in the beginning.

This is old news around the state.

The behind the scenes manuvering in this scandal was news at the time, and that is when the "deal" was brokered for Cagle to step away from the Governor's race, and Erik Johnson, who kept the Ethics Complaints under wraps switched from Lt Governor to Governor.

 

Richardson and his RatPack approved everything of course.

 

All of the various Departments downtown knew all about the "interupted" flagrant delecti the afternoon it happened. Story at the time is there were pictures no less.

 

And the latest indicent when the 2 young ladies got into their fight at his office required the Capitol Police to break it up.

 

We have been just sitting back waiting for when this "NEWS" would break.

 

But hey, Casey has been a scumbag since day one. He and Deal will make quite the pair.

Later on, the story says the secretary still works at the capitol, but is afraid to say anything out of fear of being fired; yet the secretary was the one who filed the complaint with the Chairman of the Ethics Committee. It would appear to me she has no choice but to talk about if compelled to by the Ethics Committee.

 

The story goes on stating Cagle announced in August 2009, he would not seek the Governor's office because of a back injury, yet states he ran in the 2010 Peachtree Road Race. Funny since the article gives the month he announced he wouldn't run for Governor, it doesn't give anything but the year of the race. The race by the way was July 4, 2010. It's making a big deal about how runners train for this race. Most likely true for the serious runners who are out to win the race. The question is, is Cagel a runner who runs to win, or would he enter to support the race as Lt. Governor and for the publicity it may give him? He finished the race at 1:02:33. He's in the 41-45 age group for the race. The best time for that age group was 0:29:47, just over a half hour better than Cagle. Cagle ran so great in that race that 14,967 runners finished ahead of him. It appears to me that he was running rather slowly. Could problems with his back contributed to him doing so poorly; especially since the article stresses training for the event?

 

This whole story about Cagle has a lot of holes in it. It does sound to me as if there might be a conspiracy here against him. Oh, you want to ask then why he ran for reelection for Lt. Governor as it is a statewide race as well? It's much easier to win an election as an incumbent. With all the names that were popping up for the Republican Primary, the odds were nobody would win it with more than 50% of the vote, pushing it into a runoff, making the primary more expensive, thus reducing the campaign funds significantly going into the general.

 

What you linked here folks is nothing but rumors. None of it has been substantiated at all.
