twinmom
My friend just came through there. As he was sitting at the traffic light they shut down the chopper and turned all the lights off on the ambulances. Why would they do that?
jp184
I pray that they did that to load him into the ambulance.
twinmom
I pray that they did that to load him into the ambulance. I hope so too. I have seen others being loaded and don't remember them shutting down the chopper.
FreeBird
I don't think they would ever shut down the chopper - it uses a battery booster to start at the base. The chopper was probably called for the trauma - but they would not be able to transport him via air if he was not somewhat stable. engine 10 reports emory flight off ground - E10 in service

FreeBird
I haven't heard a call to the coroner so as far as I know Emory flight took one to most likely Grady or ATL Medical. From my memory 181 is the officer that found a gunshot victim last year. I'm sure this stuff takes its toll on the officers.
