  1. So do little green men if they fail to wear their tinfoil hats.
  2. I was just about to post this! The biggest thing is...more sleet than snow. YUCK.
  3. I thought we were facing the snowpocalyps?
  4. Oh, really? Then it looks like to me you (or y'all?) are the ones reading a different thread. Does this ring a bell? "...when it is proven to be a political assassination/attempt, we have no choice but to look at the language coming from people like Palin, Beck, and Bachmann and what role those figures spewing their vitriol has on the safety of our elected representatives." Hmmm. Wow. Nah, no blame there. Moving on.
  5. Amen, NJ! It's fairly clear that the guy is mentally ill. Perhaps even schizophrenic, if his writings are any indication of his mental state. There's no limit to the number of things that might look normal to someone with a sick mind. And to try to assign motivation based on the victims is a pretty far stretch, especially when so little is known about the perpetrator except that he appears to be quite unstable. IS there someone there posting with you? Because you keep referring to "we."
  6. I feel fine, ZC. Just a bit of a headache starting, but I've taken some Ibuprofen for it. mrnn--why wait? It is quite clear you've already concluded.
  7. You feeling OK? I'm seriously concerned for you. Any history of high blood pressure?
  8. They are suggesting that perhaps he didn't act alone; they are looking for a "second person involved," a "man in his 50s." No mention recently of the other victims. Here's a resource for info: AZ Central
  9. Ew. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict your canned milk is safely waiting for you on the store shelf.
  10. What LTD said is entirely correct--but here, let my type this s-l-o-w-l-y: The graphic was a visual aid to the language of the article in the link prior to it. The graphic wasn't the article. The graphic wasn't a part of the article. They are different. And I think my reasons for posting either the article or the graphic are clear to most.
  11. Nope. I don't. So, maybe if Salinger hadn't written Catcher in the Rye, Mark David Chapman would never have shot John Lennon and John Hinkley, Jr. would never have shot Ronald Reagan? YeahOK. Where? "Post against"? Translation, please?
  12. I agree completely, ES. With everything you posted above.
  13. Do YOU know when it was removed from the Web site? They have retracted nothing on FB or Twitter. Unless someone can show that it was there yesterday and gone today, I think I'll believe what they're saying--it was removed previously because it was no longer relevant post-election. It remains on FB and Twitter, as those are feeds with a maintained history. Your bias is hanging out of your knickers. You might want to tuck it back in before you embarrass yourself.
  14. Whatever. See here When do you contend the map was removed? It's still on Twitter AND FB. I'm NOT a SP fan in ANY way...but you, on the other hand, seem to have quite a fascination with her.
  15. Nope. No one really knows. Not even you. From his YouTube profile, his favorite reads: "I had favorite books: Animal Farm, Brave New World, The Wizard Of OZ, Aesop Fables, The Odyssey, Alice Adventures Into Wonderland, Fahrenheit 451, Peter Pan, To Kill A Mockingbird, We The Living, Phantom Toll Booth, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Pulp,Through The Looking Glass, The Communist Manifesto, Siddhartha, The Old Man And The Sea, Gulliver's Travels, Mein Kampf, The Republic, and Meno." So yeah. No telling really what he dismissed or embraced. Oh L@@KIE mrnn--seems a left-wing
  16. But of course. Anyone who doesn't share your world view is OBVIOUSLY an uneducated rube. Got it. Thank you, LTD. I do believe this is very similar to what I said in my first post in this thread, minus more of the facts about the shooter that I (and others, apparently) didn't yet have.
  17. Well just because someone disagrees with someone politically doesn't mean they wish to have them shot point-blank in the head... This thread has lost all shred of any sense.
  18. Who's "we"? No one has accused you of that in any way that I can see... ??
  19. We completely agree. Maybe this is the reason for the coming snow storm? (KIDDING!) I think what some might take exception with is that all kinds of stuff that may have nothing whatsoever to do with this senseless attack/mass murder are being brought into it before the facts are all out. It IS unfair to drag Palin and the Tea Party into this at this point. It's ridiculous. The presence of nuts in the banana bowl doesn't make a whole bowl full of nuts, capiche? I wouldn't be surprised to find out that there was some twisted political purpose behind this domestic terrorism, but
  20. I went to the Kroger at 61/278 too, around the same time Blondiega1 was there...it was insane. I spent more time in there than I wanted to, with all the shopping cart traffic and the check-out lines! I just needed a couple of things...I'm making a large crock pot FULL of taco soup so we can eat and feed our neighbors if things are bad Monday...we have a house generator, so we'll still have power. But we know we have neighbors who don't, so I'm planning ahead for the neighbors in case we can help. I think I got the last loaf of Kroger wheat bread on the shelf... Good to see you toda
  21. Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis A and B, rotavirus, varicella (chicken pox), influenza and polio are all caused by viruses, which are not treated by antibiotics. Pneumonia and meningitis can be caused by either bacteria or viruses, but the vaccines children receive address only the viral types. Pertussis, diphtheria, Pneumococcal disease, and tetanus are all bacterial, but all except tetanus are airborne and are easily contracted before anyone has any indication they've been exposed. I'm glad that parents have the choice of whether or not to vaccinate. But to say that small chil
