  1. Leaving for the dermatologist now. Will post an update when I get home.
  2. Now he is complaining of a bad headache and his legs are aching. Guess I will be calling the doctor again in the morning.
  3. Just googled that- scary pictures!! It says it itches really bad so I don't think that is it. But his could just be in the early stages.
  4. THanks- good to know. He has alot of moles that need to be checked again (and he wants the one in the pic removed), so I am going to see if they can do that too in a couple weeks.
  5. Going to the Skin Cancer Center over by Kennestone Hospital.
  6. Thanks- I also noticed that tinea versicolor looks like this, but is says it is scaly too.
  7. Thanks for the information. It says it starts with a big patch and they are scaly. He never had a big patch of them and his are not scaly. Maybe they will turn scaly over time. I'll let you know more tomorrow afternoon.
  8. Shingles usually travel in a triangle and they cause pain. His is just scattered and no pain at all. I have checked the WebMD site but can't really find anything that matches it.
  9. He doesn't have any a fever (yet) and his knees are sore one minute and fine the next (which to me is growing pains). But the doctors did say if he developed a headache, fever, fatigue, or flu like symptoms to let them know immediately. LPPT- the doctors didn't think the dermatolgoist could biopsy it because nothing is raised? But I will find out tomorrow I hope.
  10. Not Hives or any type of allergic reaction. It does not itch and he doesn't even notice they are there. Not contact dermatitis either. Is is not raised - just flat. you can't even feel it.
  11. Nope- not ring worm. Doctors even confirmed that.
  12. Just got back from the doctors. They have NO idea what it is (2 doctors looked at it) so they referred us to a dermatologist and we are going tomorrow. It is not itchy at all. I brought up Lymes Disease and atleast they didn't think I was crazy. They said that is very rare here in Georgia but until he has other symptoms no need to test for it. Should the dermatologist not know what it is, they will start doing blood work. Hey B- hope you and C are alright. J is wanting to come over and play with C soon.
  13. We talked last night for about an hour. He hasn't been swimming - really hasn't done much this summer. We have a cat but he is an outdoor cat and my son hasn't even seen him in a while. Hopefully the doc can give me an idea.
  14. Here is a pic- not a great one though. You can not feel the rash whatsoever and each one has like a "thumb" print in the middle.
  15. I am no doctor- but I am 1000% sure it is not a heat rash. I am going to post a pic in a minute.
  16. Just talked with someone on the phone for about an hour about this. Almost sure that is what this could be.
  17. That is what I was thinking, but after researching it the rash looks nothing like a strep rash would look. Hopefully that is it and it is nothing that could be serious.
  18. My 16 yr old son has developed this "rash" on his stomach about 1 week ago. It is now slowing moving around to his lower back and down one leg. It is oval shaped, the outer part is red, the middle is skin colorish. It is not raised at all and has no "bite" marks or pimple like things. It does not itch and he doesn't feel bad. Only other thing is has complained about lately is his knees hurting. But I think that is just because he is growing (6'3" already). I am going to call the doc in the morning but for some reason it is really bothering me.
  19. Great- just showed that to my 9 yr old and he is trying to do it. Already broke a lamp- told him to try it outside!!
  20. We are having a terrible time with fleas. We have 4 dogs and gave them the new pill out for fleas and it didn't work (that was $100 down the drain). I spray the rugs and furniture with spray stuff from the vet, my husband has treated the yard and I try and vacuum EVERY day- but they won't go away. Fustrating!!!
