Wait -- you lost me at "your problem"...... I think you need a glass of my "chocolate wine"!!! If you drink it, you'll feel fine. Want close encounters of the third kind. Not what you had in mind? I say these things quite deliberately - So you won't know what to think of me. Too much caffeine? Too much tea? Too much o'both - gotta pee! Well now I''m back so let us see where was I BE? Neither here nor there, sorta in betwee --- So oft to bed, I guess I'll wrap it - Light is on, so twice I'll clap it!

Okay, DG -- you can bring the nightstick this time and dress up like the Bradleys. I'll bring the margaritas and the nacho chips! You can do the "Tequila Dance" to the kazoo!

I'll play, DG. Just --- no nightsticks!!

A random thought about the situation in Egypt

I think that right now it's just a situation that warrants concern. "The Day of Departure" could have a really sinister double meaning! -

Yeah that's the idea. I noticed that they don't wear hardhats either! No construction? No "Cheeseheads" there? -
I wouldn't trust a woman holding a nightstick, Subby! I'm not speaking from experience, you understand..... She may not really be a cop, Subby. Make her show you her vadge badge.

Apparently they don't have any throwing sports in Egypt! Those guys can't throw worth a darn!

Don't cry for the Z Man. He's been cashing in stocks like there's no tomorrow! ]Zimmer is one of a few big-time donors known as sympathetic to marijuana legalization. Others are George Soros and Peter Lewis, the chairman of Progressive Insurance. The Prop. 19 campaign has been waiting for much of the election cycle to see whether such big donors would support them.] http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2010/10/mens-wearhouse-founder-george-zimmer-for-legal-pot-in-california/65140/# Sep 20, 2010ZIMMER GEORGEOfficer83,862IndirectAutomatic Sale at $23.68 per share.$1,985,85

Did she say that she was religious? I find it extremely inappropriate to try to use her situation so you can get on a soapbox for your own brand of religion.

Part of getting over a relationship has to do with respect. If you think about it this way, sometimes it's a little easier to turn loose of the emotions that still bind you, but not him. Respect his decision to go in a different direction. Respect is a lot more positive of a feeling than blame, which you want to stay away from. With blame, there's the natural inclination to take ownership of part of that blame. But it's not your fault and it's not his fault. It's a choice. What makes a relationship special is that out of the whole world, two people choose each other. It's valuable for the

Have you considered paying your mortgage in the amount that you CAN PAY (if you're going to rent at $600 a month, why not send the mortgage co. 600 a month)? You'd have late payment penalties that would set you back in payments on the short term, but might buy you a little time? Have you considered selling the house for a little more than what's owed on it ($128,000)? You might be able to do a quick sale. If it appraised 5 years ago at 168K, is it possible that the house and land are worth less than what you owe? If that's the case, then a quick sale is not in the cards. Unfortunately, it

Florida Judge rules Obama care Unconstitutional

I agree with your assessment, LTD. I agree that the Enumerated Powers supersede the very non-specific term "general welfare". There is a problem with the "general welfare", though. And that problem is not going to go away. CONGRESS is abdicating its responsibility because the members of Congress, both houses, have stopped working for the people! They have this other job that they have put above the one that serves the people. That job is reelection. So the question remains, how else will there be general welfare, if not through social programs. How will "the least of these" be served? The -

It's a compelling argument, Mrs. H. I think that everyone should read the decision in Florida, and the rationale behind the decision. Essentially the case is made that the end doesn't justify the means in Constitutional law. There are enumerated powers and a sweet sounding title doesn't provide ample reason for enacting this particular legislation into law. The fact that the legislation would have far-reaching implications as a precedent is cause for concern. Yes, we need affordable healthcare insurance but to codify it as a mandate for personal spending reaches too far. While the goal -

The General Welfare isn't only found in the Preamble. The Preamble isn't just an introduction, it explains the intent of the founding fathers. The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States; -

You had a point? Maybe your point is that it's such a partisan issue that there won't be any meaningful discourse? I don't want to paraphrase you to the point of misrepresenting what you were saying... I agree about this - Neither side cares a damn about anything but reelection. Boner doesn't want people to go without health insurance. He doesn't want them to have it, either. He wants to get reelected. Obama is the same, Harry Reid is the same. Saxby Chambliss, the same. All that matters is the power that comes from reelection. It's the mark of the beginning of the end for our form of -

Her position is distasteful, disturbing -- and amusing??? Either you can't go a day without a personal attack, or you don't read what you write. Or both. I guess the possibility exists that you can't go a day without a personal attack and you just have a weird sense of humor that includes the distasteful and the disturbing. We were talking here about an issue. You want to share your insight about the issue or is your thing off-topic attacks from the blind-side? Nevermind. I KNOW the answer to that one. If this were a regular conversation, wouldn't it be rude to start making a -

There are two problems here. One is the downward spiral of the fatally-flawed system of government that has so squandered its nation's resources that it may NEVER rebound from this sacking. This is a government that cannot act to save itself, because of the greed of those at the top. We have 20 million illegal aliens who are working for a living, but not paying a dime in taxes! WE, the taxpayers, provide the roads for them to travel on, the schools for them to educate their children, police and military protection - But nothing in the way of having them pay for their use of our country. I think that we're going about this in a backward way. I think that we should have done the responsible thing, which is to get our money-matters in order. This is not Obama's fault, but Congress'! But Congress has a job that is more important than doing what is proper on behalf of the American People. That job is getting reelected. And that job starts the day after they are elected/reelected. So we will NEVER be in a posiiton to promote the general welfare as long as Congress is taking bribes for votes (lobbying) and trading pork project votes with other congressment - a screw job on -

Source, please. Nevermind. There is no source for your concept of what America should be, except for your own imagination or perhaps right-wing political talk shows. The Constitution is, thankfully a "living, breathing document" or else we would still have slavery, women wouldn't have the right to vote, etc. What freedoms are you refering to that we would not have if we had healthcare? -
Happy Birthday to a great woman!!

LPPT, I think that "NJ" may not be able to fully understand the complex thought patterns behind your words. Such thoughtful discourse shouldn't be expended on the incapable or the unworthy, IMO.
