  1. I have an article posted since I was there covering the event.

It is unfortunate that only one camera man filmed the whole event as Daniel had a lot to say that is not covered here on Pubby's video.

Although I could not vote, my support for him stands.

I believe in redemption of the past as well as forgiveness. :)

Verbally slash me if anyone wants to, but I stand with the Lord's command to forgive. One doesn't have to forget.

    ===========

Acts 13:38: “Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.”

Ephesians 4:32:"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

  2. The swearing in ceremony for District 19 Representative Daniel Stout at the Paulding county courthouse.

To view this click on this link http://paulding.com/forum/index.php?/topic/234830-paulding-com-news-on-pcomtv-stream/ and choose the Paulding.com news for Friday March 5th 2010.

Yep, I was there. I believe that is nearly 500 people who he has stood in front of and spoken about his past. Kudo's to him for doing that and may God's grace bless him and the job he has ahead of him. He will do well. :good:

  3. I understand what both of you are saying, however you cannot tell me the "Party" does not approach potential candidates and encourage them to run. Anyone can run under any party or as a independent, I get that but it would be in everyone's best interest for the "Party" to help identify a viable candidate for the primary in July.

It's against the ethic rules, period. It cannot be undone. We live in a free nation and that means anyone can run for office and cannot be denied and cannot be told of which party they will represent.

Moreover, the "party as a whole does not approach anyone" to run. "Some" members may approach someone that they know on a personal basis but that is as far as it goes when it comes to primaries and special elections.

Again, let me state, it is against ethic rules to promote anyone as a party in primaries. Individuals chose who they want as it is their right to do so.

These same rules of ethics applies to the democratic party as well. This rule has been in place for decades.

I spoke to someone tonight who knows someone who has gone with Daniel to the capitol on right to life issues and they are amazed as to how he handles himself as well as his knowledge of pending or introduced bills.

All of this pre-judging is mindboggling to me. Just because Glenn committed acts of immorality while "in office" and to cast judgement on someone else who made a stupid mistake in his teen years just "may" do it too is totally absurd.

What are you all going to say when he goes in there and proves everyone wrong?

I suppose when Jesus forgave the thief on the cross was wrong too and an embarrassment to those who follow Christ, huh? Christ didn't judge the thief based on what he did in the past, but blessed the thief in that moment, forgave him and carried the thief to heaven with Him. Christ forgave Daniel, his church forgave me, his family forgave him, and those that he hurt, including his ex-wife forgave him.

If Christ did not do that for the thief, then where would we be today? It is something to think about. If you're a Christian, you should think about long and hard.

I am done and have said my last on this subject.

    Last but not least.....

    John 8:1-11

8:1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

8:2 Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple,

and all the people came to him. He sat down, and taught them.

8:3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery.

Having set her in the midst,

8:4 they told him, "Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.

8:5 Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such.

What then do you say about her?"

8:6 They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of.

But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.

8:7 But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them,

"He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her."

8:8 Again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.

8:9 They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience,

went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last.

Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.

8:10 Jesus, standing up, saw her and said,

"Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?"

8:11 She said, "No one, Lord." Jesus said,

"Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more."

  4. It is a mis-conception about the party. The party does not provide candidates nor do they endorse any candidate in the primaries or special elections.

These false allegations that the party did this and that is getting real old.

ANYONE can run for an office position, ANYONE. The party did not got out and hunt down candidates. They came themselves to throw their hat into the ring.

Furthermore, there has been AMPLE opportunity for people to open their mouths and ask any of the candidates questions. How many of you did that? As far as Daniel is concerned, his phone number has been on his website since day one. Several forums and a meet and greet occurred as well.

This was a special election with primaries coming up. The problem with people is many do not come out and vote(5% of voters in the 19th district)and then people go around moaning and groaning because this person or that person got elected.

People need to take responsibility and get out and vote AND be informed, find out who the people are instead of relying on others to do it for them.

If what is said ticks anyone off, then so be it. Unreal.

  5. I think it's inaccurate to say "no one" knew until 2/14. It obviously wasn't general knowledge, and there isn't any way to know for sure how many in the Stout campaign even knew about it. Considering the circumstances of this special election, if Mr. Stout had political goals, perhaps the community would have been better served if he had chosen to serve more locally prior to entering a race with statewide impact. This would have given the voters the opportunity to get to know him, see how he would serve the community and then make a decision. Instead I think he has put the community in a position that it will be difficult to recover and that is the part that will be more difficult to forgive.

I'm referring to the general population and certainly, I didn't know either.

  6. I like the word Independent too. Problem is what ballot do you ask for in the Primary?

Unless there is a large group that declare Independent you may only be voting for one seat, while your other local positions could be under Democrat and Republican.

I had that problem in the Early 90's when I switched to Independent. I found that I was better off to be registered with the conservative party for the Primary... then in the General election all options are available? (I was in a state that, for the primary, you were given a ballot of the party you were registered for.)

I have to add that the mudslinging that happens the last week when the truth is hard to verify is one reason I like to vote early. If it was really true, why was it not brought up during the 3 to 9 months of campaigning? :pardon:

For one, no one knew until Feb. 14th when it was presented in the comment section of a news article I posted. I didn't even know of this issue as well.

And second, as Tom Crawford told me, I did better pre-coverage of the 19th District election than the mainstream news. Since I don't have reporters, cameras and all of that, the mainstream is the one who didn't get it out there although I am sure they knew about it. However, the news was also on another Paulding County website nearly the same day as the comments were posted.

Whoever spilled the beans is unknown at this time as they are anonymous. So it was out there to some extent.

  7. Nobody knew until the accusation appeared on our friend PT's new site. Maybe some of his supporters did. Then it was verified as truth but all of that took time. I have to say that the candidate did not deny but admitted to it. That in my mind was a plus in his favor (at the time). It was out there if folks cared to look. Trouble is most folks usually don't look, so some are going to be quite shocked about all of this.

I know that I am not feeling much like talking about the differences between Conservatives and Liberals today. dry.gif

Heck, I didn't even know of what he did until some anonymous person posted a comment. It's going to be a strange year for sure.

  8. Not to stick up for Daniel, but based on what I consider "truthful" reporting, I have to state that the news of his affair did not break at the "last minute" which would dictate within hours or 24hrs. 8) . It broke on Feb 14, 2010. <_<

Now, if this other person runs in the general elections, the one I have already mentioned and spoke to last night, I may be swayed their way.

  9. Pubby's.

Wonder how much of that 60% is early voting? Wonder how many hadn't heard the "story" and will hear it tomorrow on the news?

I thought the results Pubby posted was the early voting? No?

I'm not sure but I have a ton of hits on my site. I have surpassed the year and monthly average for atlanta news avg. and within 100 hits of passing the politics category.

I'll have to see how the election results compare to the total hits I have and see if any trend prevailed.

  10. FYI.....

If anyone cares to accuse me of deleting comments under my article, you are more than welcome to prove it. Although I have the ability to delete comments, I have not done so. :angry2:

I have all of the comments, all 28 comments in my login area. There are two pages of comments on the article page but I see that the rest before it are not showing and I have no answers for it.

I do not own the site, only the articles. Therefore, do not accuse me of hiding anything.

    Thank you,

    Chris

  11. So you are saying that it was not a supporter of one of the candidates that brought this information out.

Which candidate do you think did?

Okay, got to answer this and have to write and edit.

I didn't say it was a candidate. I may have mis-read your comment then. I was thinking what you said referred to those who support Daniel and are taking his side and hid things.

I do believe it was a supporter of another candidate or someone who has a problem with him.

My bad if I read it wrong.
