The fact is I don't care you will never know the whole story. Most people who need help don't ask for it. There was one post in the original thread that was talking about going to peoples homes and seeing what cars they drive.
They don't need a group of people who paid 100 dollars judging them. You don't understand how some people have to pay a god awful amount for a car? But you can judge? and I'm sorry just because I disagree with this whole thing doesn't make me dumb or any of you better than me. JMO

thanks soundguy ... You did great! actually very, very close.
Let me clarify one thing. The original post is not put out for the public. Rather the Community Chest re-writes it to protect the identity of the folks asking/needing aid and may encourage or designate the traditional folks (those who bring the issue to the board) as a focal point for the effort ... or provide an alternative way to give aid. the request for aid is made by the member COMMUNITY CHEST. That alone shows that the need has been reviewed.
If it is something that the CC might not want to participate in it will say simply that hte CC does not plan to participate.
If it is something that we feel might be a problem, we will ask the original poster are they sure they want to persue this. If they insist that the need be placed on the board we will not approve it for any official assistance and will designate the member doing the collecting as the source with notice we plan no support. But folks will have the opportunity to give to it regardless.
Why we might even put up one of the Nigerian schemes to show you how we might phrase the issue.
However it would be done, it would be clear.
But you got the concept down... and those who don't 'get it' just may well be in that group of folks who might be among the dumbest folks in the world.
Anyway, I've got somewhere to be.
thanks for the concise description of how it works.

I"m sorry, shouldn't this need be entrusted to the CC?
Well has a committee actually been established OR is it still in the works?
But the BIGGEST question is. . . .
HOW YOU LIKE DEM APPLES?

Who's famous quote was "is p.com on it's cycle?"
Gail EE SPAZ
-
a friggin decoder ring and some tylenol
Is it "that time of the month" again for Pcom?
Is the moon full?
Is Timmy stuck in a well?
Do we need to ask help in the CC if Timmy is indeed in the well BUT it'll cost money to get him out?
Did everyone have a Great Weekend?
Merry Christmas everyone!

Make a craft that becomes a keepsake!
On Brown construction paper trace and cut out your child's foot.
On any other colored construction paper trace and cut out both of your child's hands
Glue the cut out hand prints to the back of the cut out foot print (up near the toes.)
Add eyes (googly eyes, beads, whatever you have that looks like eyes)
Add a nose near the heel of the food print (for the nose use a pom-pom, or whatever you have that can be used as a nose, we used a wooden hear)
There ya go you've just made a reindeer!
We've made one every year for the past three years so now I have hand and foot prints of my babies
We hang them all around the fireplace - we have 12 reindeer now!

I now medium wasn't until sometime in January

The article posted leaves alot out.
They needed a major security operation to protect the teacher at the courthouse. Many protesters were demanding the death penalty for her:
Wow that's scary

Those wacko muzzies are at it again!
Someone told me they were planning on taking on the City of Dallas!
I always say no way they could take over our country - too many rednecks with guns or the gangs goodness the gangs would just eat them alive - sure they may do a few car bombs but between the gangs and the rednecks I think we have the upper hand.

MANCHESTER, Ga. -- An explosion was reported Thursday morning at a metals plant near Manchester in west Georgia. Lt. Richard Dunn at the Manchester Police Department said reports indicated at least three people were injured at G&S Metals. He said he did not know the extent of the injuries. Authorities were trying to evacuate a half-mile radius, which includes houses and a company that makes medical products. -
Well it's a damned if ya do damned if ya don't - If he makes this forum it'll lessen all the "help please" on the board which can be a bit tiresome, like wading through the bums by the Atlanta Zoo - ya feel bad for them but there is only so much you can do. But then there are those who want to know all the details before they decide to give - which is understandable, but that's why there are hundred's of ways to give and not just through pcom.

YES but where did I say just because they aren't room moms?
-
I also wanted to add that I sincerely hope that you, Momaliz and Sisterbertha are NOT the room mothers for my child class. I wouldn't want discustingly immature people like you to be in charge or be around my child and his class.
Momaliz, I was at my child's Fall Festival WITH my child. Wasn't that the point of the festival? For the students to come WITH their parents to have a good time?? Well, we did thank you.
Sisterbertha, GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE! You're acting like your better than all of us other parents because we didn't volunteer to be room mothers. I'm discusted by you and like I said I hope you are not the room mother for my son's class, I wouldn't want someone like you who refers to me as a "selfish beotch" because I didn't sign up to be a room mom to be responsible for anything to do with my son. Let me drop to your level for a moment, Shove it up your a$!
That is all.
I NEVER said anyone who didn't volunteer for room mom was a selfish beotch - show me where? I said to get really snarky about going to a fall festival where YOU reap the benefits of others work is being a selfish beotch. I really only expect parents to help out 3 times a year - Fall festival (it's 30 freaking minutes to make something GREAT for the whole school), and the 2 parties that are allotted by the county - Winter and end of school year - I don't eve expect parents to come to those parties, just give what they can.
