    Dallas Pedestrian Crosswalk

    Well, maybe I'm a goody, goody, but I always try to stop when it tells me to. I may not always go the speed limit (to the exact number) but if it's red, I stop, if it's green I go, if it tells me to stop for Pedestrians, then I stop for Pedestrians. Please don't take it as me being a smarty pants but it's just funny to see someone in a "rule making, governing people, looking out for the best interest of the ordinary person" position break a "rule".

     

    Oh yeah, my husband just informed that it was a dark blue truck.

    I worked on a college campus with the public safety office - Pedestrians have the right of way always - that was something that was argued constantly in our office with violators. I ALWAYS look at crosswalks. That's why miss Jessie cusses me so much - I stop to let her cross but she doesn't want to either that or she sees the devil in me

    Does anyone know?

    I'll probably catch some heat for saying this but;

     

    My family patronized Main Street about twice a week and almost every weekend. Obviously we loved the place. We try our best to avoid "Chain Restaurants" at home and when traveling. Unfortunately most of the general public really doesnt care about an independent. Most are looking at the $ sign and not the quality. To most, it was the place to go on anniversaries, birthdays, holidays and other special occasions. For some, that was the only time they ever went.

     

    And I'm sure competing with the "Steak Depot", on the main drag, only made it harder. I'm sure that had something to do with changing the concept.

     

    To those who went often; I'll miss seeing you there.

     

    To those who did'nt; Maybe you'll get lucky and some major chain will move into the space.

     

    Oh I hope so ^_^

    I'm one of the "depends'

     

    I know you Meant how low will you go to someone you are angry at, but I answered in general. If I know you and am really good friends with you, I'll joke about things like physical appearance, spouse, illness (non-life threatening) - it's my families sick way of saying we love you if we pick on you - it's basically saying see I know all this 'horrible' stuff about you but I still love you!

     

    Now I can honestly say I have NEVER sent an angry pm - too much effort on someone I don't like. I don't bring kids into arguments - I may question your ability to parent but not talk smack about your kids. Cancer is NOT something I joke about EVER - when you know someone else has had to watch a love one slowly die - nope that's not something I joke about. Physical appearance - well I don't talk about that because if I've seen you then I've probably met you and 1) I only meet people I like and 2) if I've seen you, you've seen me and I'm no Super model :wink: Spouses - I only bring it to them IF they too are on the board and I know them - I may say "Your poor spouse having to deal with you" but not talk smack about them.

    No he's not .. None of my 6 kids have one .. nor will they ever. I don't care how " in " it is .. aint happening here. -_-

     

    HIGHFIVE - that's exactly how I feel

     

    If my kid was to ask for one - they'd get told no - there is no need for it.
