  4. It's okay! Apparently they are good for the your plants;o) Lady Bug Beetles Coccinellidae Also called Ladybirds or coccinellids Lady Bugs are small beetles about 1/4 inch long that have wing covers of dark orange with black spots. They are kind of cute. These predatory insects are something that you really want to have in your garden. Lady beetles, both adults and larvae, are known primarily as predators of aphids (plant lice), but they prey also on many other pests such as soft-scale insects, mealybugs, spider mites and eggs of the Colorado Potato Beetle and European Corn Borer. Not only

  9. Small downtown areas are usually 10-5 hours, closed on Sundays and while we tried to change that by expanding our hours and offering a late night (our fellow business are finally doing the same) it has taken some time. I doubt our ours cause me to to accuse you of being a downer. More likely, it seems that you have led the parade to point out the bad or negative in many a post and that is what I mean. I try to find joy and happiness in everything I can, more of a Happy Hannah, but to each their own, I suppose.
  10. I knew I liked you, LPPT! I will be so glad to be done with this move, hopefully tomorrow, and maybe able to start making the meetings on Wed. or Friday. Our business is growing and growing, due to support in the community and other businesses and people like you!
  11. For all you that have posted your honest opinion, we so appreciate it and your payoff is awaiting you at the store Seriously, we do honor everyone's opinions on here even when we disagree with them, we do know that everyone does have a right to one and P.com has allowed us to have a forum to speak out. For that, we thank you and Pubby, for allowing the playground to play on.
  12. Markdavd, once again, you are the Debbie Downer of the crowd, but that is ok, I know you are just speaking honestly from your heart and sometimes it just may be two sizes to small-lol! Yes, the advertising is effective, not just here but on facebook, twitter and on our blog on Patch.com. If it was not effective after this many years, I would have dropped it long ago. It also may have weeded out a few people that we don't need as customers too! I realize that sounds bad but because we have such an open door policy and are happy to shoot the breeze with most anyone, share a laugh and
  13. 'n' it's all right now, learned my lesson well You see, ya can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself Love it Pubby, you are right on! And I appreciate your comment and honesty. I don't think shopping at my store is a daily event for too many people, just an option when you need a place to go, something to do or of course, need a book!
  14. Goodness me! I feel the love today with only a small exception. Still trying to finish our BIG move today so I will comment on comments later but it is nice to see, at least so far, that the majority do like the posts and just like our store, I don't cater to anybody but instead everybody and I don't think I will be changing but then again....... Oh so very undecisive are we
  15. I am always open to any opinion and after yesterday's post, figured I might take a poll. You won't hurt my feelings if you tell the truth and while I may or may not change anything about my business practices because of this poll, just thought it would be interesting, if nothing else. If there is no one answer that works for you, feel free to comment. Susan, the owner of The Book Worm Bookstore

  20. Sure, we know that this day reads Water "a" Flower (singular) Day. It clearly indicates that a flower should be watered. But, in today's world of equal rights and non-discrimination regulations, how can you single out one particular flower to water? Even if you can decide upon a certain flower, wouldn't the rest of your flowers get upset and file a class action lawsuit? So please, for your own sake, water all of your flowers today. As a gardener, this author suggest you make your flowers very happy with you, by adding a liquid fertilizer to the water. They will reward you with faster growt
  21. What a handsome little man! Congrats!
