Brrr! After having both A/C units for my house serviced today, cold air is really blowing out! It feels like a fan is on in the room.
$99 total for two units is a good deal. The condenser coils were pretty dirty! Thanks Pinnacle for the tuneup!

Yum, sounds good! I'm on my way with a few friends. Come join us!

I just saw on Channel 2 news that "a kitchen appliance" was determined to be the cause of the fire.

REALLY????? How tacky to say with a situation like this...typical news chaser.
What's tacky about asking for photos of the house fires from anyone nearby? Just to point out, the request was made before any casualties were reported. This is a news website and Pubby often quests photos if possible for breaking news.

I contacted an employee and was told that it was closed for safety because of the snow and ice.

They really ended the movie with Major
possibilities for sequel!
A sequel? Heck, this is the third movie in the funny series, coming after "Meet the Parents" and "Meet the Fockers". The first two movies are funny and I will be watching this one sometime.

Just wanted to say that I love your topic titles and they always make me smile

This reminds me... well, it isn't really a pot hole in front of your store, but have you gotten use to the sound of "BOOM! BOOM!"?

Thanks for the tip!

November Rain, did you forget last Thursday?
Yes! I realized it shortly after I woke up Thursday morning, but figured you had already come. I will have a double load for you this week. Good thing trash pickup was running late and I was able to get that out last week.
-
Awesome deal! I hope people won't feel too bothered to separate the recyclable paper products for pickup. I know people who throw empty food cans into the trash instead of the adjacent recycling bin because they don't want to bother rinsing out the can first...

I found out about not keeping the laptop plugged in when I had to replace the battery after a few years. I bought a replacement from an online auction site and it seemed great for a little while, but now it drains quickly. The battery drains much quicker than the estimated remaining time indicated. In fact, now as soon as the low-battery warning comes up at 10% charge, the computer goes into hibernation.

I was driving through downtown Dallas on Wednesday evening and stopped in the road when I saw the new fountain and large gazebo. I had to pull into the parking lot across the street to get out and look around. There were several people enjoying the area. The gazebo was brightly lit up inside, but there were no benches or tables or anything inside. I just came on P'com to see if I had missed discussion about this new area.

I don't use the Messenger often (nobody has ever had to post about my box being full), but when I receive a PM on this "new" board (and read it a couple days later when I sign on) it usually says that I cannot reply. I look to the left under Participants and it says "Topic Deleted". What's the deal with that? Does this just mean that people sending me PMs have delete the message on their end? If that's what it is, it is screwy that I cannot respond to their message.

I used a female serial port to USB adapter with an old printer. I have replaced the printer but should have the adapter around here somewhere. If I can locate it, you are welcome to have it.
I found the adapter and I was mistaken. It is a parallel printer cable to USB adapter, not serial port to USB.
-
Subby, I am pretty sure that you will need a female serial port adapter, not the male adapter that southernscarlett is offering to you. The male adapter would allow a device with a USB port/cable to plug into the serial port on a computer; the female adapter would allow you to plug a device with a serial port cable into a USB port on your computer.
Since the device has the serial port cable, transfer speed would not be an issue. I can understand this being a concern if it were a USB device being plugged into a slower serial port.

It's good to see positive posts from Biz members about how P'com has helped their business. Paulding.com really is a great marketing tool for people who know how to use it.
Did the guy looking for a rental home with a place for his horses ever call you?

I've never been a Dale, Jr fan, but he was a pretty good driver for a while. I think the majority of drivers out on the track have been better in the past, leaving the rookies to make their peak.

Do you have any low-carb and low-fat breakfast items?

I just watched this short feel-good film again and it made me smile

I haven't been on in a couple of weeks (other than briefly checking out PCOMFUN), so when I clicked on the Recent Topics link, I went to the bottom of the page on the right side and selected Active in the last... 2 weeks. Only 200 topics were returned, equivalent to the last two days instead of two weeks. Apparently, a maximum of 200 topics are returned no matter which time period is selected. Admins, please fix this error.

It's nice to hear of a business that's apparently doing well and expanding. I guess Nationwide Envelope must be doing something right, since National Envelope Corp filed for bankruptcy last year and closed the plant in Austell. [ajc] Demand for envelopes is certainly down and not needed for much mail anymore with so much being done online.
