  1. My friends laugh because my roommate and I sometimes IM each other like in that Bellsouth (I think) commercial when I'm upstairs and he's downstairs. However, if you're sitting 4 feet from your hubby and communicating via IM, that's... well I don't know what to say.

  2. I've heard about this exhibit for years due to the controversy. I'm very interested in seeing it, I believe it would be very fascinating to see how a body looks on the inside and not be watching a movie from Hollywood. Have you seen this on TV? Very interesting.

  3. The Funeral Services are being held at Picketts Mill Baptist Church on Hwy 92.  (About 10 minutes north of Charles Hardy Pkwy/ Hwy 120)

Services are scheduled for 2:00pm on Tuesday.  If you plan to be there, it has been requested that anyone who can, please car pool.

With the volume of people we are expecting, I would think 1:00 PM or maybe a bit earlier would be okay, but that's a best guess.  Please remember to bring water if you're going to stand outside; it'll be warm.

    Thanks.

It has been requested that attendees carpool, so let's try to arrange transportation.

    Does anyone have a van?

Where and what time could groups meet before heading to the church?

Any suggestions on where parking will be available in the area?

  4. So I & some friends have decided to start taking the tag info & reporting it to the SO

A couple years ago I was delivering mail in the subdivision that I now live in, when I was hit by a lady who backed out of her driveway without looking, right across from the stop sign just inside the entrance of the subdivision. Over an hour later, after the GSP finally showed up and with the PCSO there also, someone came and drove right through the stop sign. I even heard an officer utter "There's a stop sign there, buddy." However, nothing more was done about the stop-sign runner.

  5. Were you a classmate of Josh Cleveland's.  I believe I recognize your name from ROTC.

Hello, no, I attended McEachern c/o '98 (however I moved out of state after 10th grade) and was not in the ROTC program. My brother was in NJROTC, c/o '97.

  6. Pen, keychain, notepad, magnet?

I'd keep a pen. A keychain would just get tossed in a drawer, a notepad would get stashed somewhere, and a magnet just might get placed on my fridge, however I tend to not even look at anything stuck to the fridge. I looked and looked for a recipe that I eventually found attached to the side of the fridge.

I always carry a pen. I never know when I may need to write someone's phone number down, and I don't like using the pen the cashier/server hands me that everybody else has had their hands on. I also tend to lose my pen occasionally, which means the finder sees the advertisement as well.

I currently have a pen that came in the mail as a free sample from a company that sells these personalized items (don't remember the name, sorry,) however the printing has mostly rubbed off, leaving the "ad" illegible. Try to get samples first and use a company that produces quality products.

  7. This is a poem I wrote to Mrs. Dingler.

    Mrs. Cleveland,

If you do not mind, I have posted your poem on Josh Dingler's memorial page that I created.

Also, would somebody please see to it that the Dingler family finds out about this memorial page? Many families have told me how touching the memorial pages are and that reading the messages posted by friends and complete strangers made them feel better. I am sure the Dingler family will feel the same way.

  8. I hope I never have to see any of you in my professional capacity, but if I do, rest assured you'll be well taken care of by myself and the rest of the Wellstar staff.

Ha, I thought you were going to say you worked at a funeral home. :p

My name is Tim Rivera, I am 24 years old, and moved to Paulding County in Feb. 2004 when I bought a house near the intersection of Hwy 92 & Brownsville Rd. I have lived in several cities and states, but I've lived in Powder Springs for a total of 10.5 years now. My day job is a rural mail carrier for Powder Springs, but my entire route is in Paulding County.

I had visited P.com once or twice before, but didn't take residence. I was at Buffalo Wild Wings in Hiram playing trivia last week, and another team called themselves Paulding.com. Photos were taken and posted on P.com, so I came over to see the photos. I noticed a discussion for Spc. Joshua Dingler, and wanted to post a message telling about the memorial page I had made for him on my Fallen Heroes Memorial website that I started in March 2003. After joining P.com, it has become addictive to read the discussions and keep up with all the Paulding County happenings!

  9. Why beat around the bush. So it was the McDonald's at 1000 Merchants Dr in Dallas across from the dollar theater, right? Hmm, so that's what makes the new chicken sandwiches "premium" eh? I wonder if they did or will do anything about this.

  10. Yes, the food is almost always great. The meat is smoked overnight, and everything is prepared fresh everyday, i.e. no leftovers from yesterday. Be sure to have a couple of cheese bisquits with plenty of honey butter (but only a couple, in moderation, of course.) I usually get the baked potato, which is actually 1.5 potatos (3/4 of two potatos put together.) However, all this fresh daily food means higher prices on the menu, and even a recent price increase. I love the food, but I gotta cut back on my visits to J&N to keep my wallet happy.

  11. All I see is a shool bus! The pic of him and the sidewalk are gone.I looked all over the front page it is not there.

Ditto that. When I view the site in Opera, the stories with the school bus photo is at the top as well as down the page for August 12. I had to open Internet Explorer to see the story about Spc. Dingler and the square wall.

  12. I met Ben Stein three months ago in Washington, D.C. over Memorial Day weekend. We were both guests at the TAPS Survivor Seminar for the families of fallen soldiers.

I've met a few Christian bands, such as Avalon, tobyMac, and Casting Crowns. I used to deliver Travis Tritt's mail, but I've never met him.
