  1. I don't know if it's too far for you, but we use Kathy Gnann, the nurse practitioner at East Paulding Pediatrics. My 4 year old is enamored by her. :)

Kathy is GREAT, but I would only go there if you see her everytime. I personally would not take my chances with any of the others.

I went to Dr. Sisk when I was a kid, and he's great. I also had a friend who went to him as a child and was diagnosed with a very serious blood disorder. No other doctor could figure out what was wrong with him, but Dr. Sisk did.

  2. Posting one's hemmorhoids is the norm? Maybe you should read the post that came with that quote.

I also decided to update my avatar, since so many people don't know the difference between pretty feet and ugly ones.

I am sure she was just kidding about the hemmoroids!

  3. I don't understand why there should be shame?

I agree. Having a baby is a wonderful, beautiful thing. If she is not ashamed of her belly, why should anyone else be? I bet you don't complain about skinny young girls that show off their bellies in bathing suits or clothes that are too skimpy. What is wrong with a woman's belly that is carrying the miracle of life??

  4. WOW! Posts like this can really put a person "in check". Here we all are fussing over pregnant bellies a puppy homes and there are things like this going on. God Bless that mother and that precious little boy. My oldest is named Jared, and not that that should matter, but that really hit home with me.

  5. Ummmm, ya know if you don't like it, put those members on ignore, and you won't have to see their avatar, post or anything!

There are other avatars on here that I think are alot worse that pregnant bellies! :ninja:

I have to agree with this. I am almost 7 months with my 3rd baby, but you will NEVER see my pregnant belly on here. However, if other women are comfortable showing off their bellies, more power to them. I would rather see a big pregnant belly than one that has recently given birth with wrinkly stretch marks all over hanging over some jeans that are WAY too tight. Just my 2 cents!

  6. No, I've never watched that program...my hair will only work with a razor cut.  And it's my understanding that the technique is not taught in Cosmotology school...a stylist just has to get lucky in finding a mentor who will teach them...I am not in a position to pay $40 - $50 for a cut, and even more so to someone who has never done my hair.

A razor cut....that's all I ask for...doesn't sound that difficult, huh??

My hairdresser that I talked about in my above post will razor. I don't know about a full razor cut, but I know she razors my mom's hair. Knowing her the way I do, if you ask for a full razor cut, she will. I cannot recommend her enough. I believe for a shampoo, cut, and style she charges $29, but don't hold me to it!

Again, her name is Bethany and the salon is called "Louno" (770) 920-2887.

  7. One of my best friends is my hairdresser. Not only has she done my hair for about 10 years, but I have also worked for her in her salon. She is in Douglasville on Douglas Blvd. in the Taco Mac shopping center in front of Home Depot. The name of the salon is Louno (770) 920-2887. Her name is Bethany. I have my hair colored and highlights foiled in every six weeks. SHE'S WONDERFUL and reasonable.

  8. Not a mom But I changed the kids enough....  We used what was on sale unless we predetermined they leaked or would not stay on...  we allways use the premium dipers at night...

Mom's what ever us dads so it to...  Can I complain about some kind of discrimination here?

You must be a good dad. The only reason I have changed more diapers than my husband is that I stay home with my kids all day, but he has always been a great help. He can wipe a butt with the best of them!

  9. I used White Cloud with my youngest son. When he was very little they would sometimes leak during the night so I used the overnight diapers at night. It worked great for us and White Cloud diapers are about $2.00 cheaper at Wal-Mart than Huggies or Pampers. I intend to do the same thing with the baby I am expecting.

BTW- where did you get that avatar?? It is WILD!

  10. OMG-

I almost didn't read this topic because I thought "what could someone possibly find to complain about a stuffed animal machine?" I am so glad I decided to read! My kids are always asking to play those machines, and sometimes we let them. If you cannot get info from the staff at Wal-Mart, I would go back and look on the machine. There migh be a number for a vendor on it. Good luck! Let us know how this turns out! I am SO glad your child is ok as well.

  11. We used to have Directv, but turned it off to save some money (not to mention every time the wind blew we would lose several channels). We were considering turning our satellite back on (cable is not an option where we live). My husband found a "family" package on Dish Network for $19.99/month and locals are $5.99 extra. We were paying a little over $50/month for Directv. Any good/bad/neutral experiences with Dish Network?

    Thanks.
