[Sweet Cat Needs A New Home]

I hate to open a can of worms but did your husband give you a specific reason that you have to get rid of the cat?  Is it just because you are expecting???

There is a disease you can get when you're pregnant from changing litter (I believe it's called toxoplasmosis??). I do not want to take chances with my new baby...plus my husband did not want the cat in the first place and he pretty much refuses to help take care of it. I also don't like the thought of all that cat hair around my new baby.

I recently adopted a cat from another p.com member. I have since found out I am having another baby and my husband insists we find him a new home. He is about 4 1/2 years old. He is an Abyssnian. He is front declawed, neutered, and litter box trained. He is great with kids (mine are two and nine). He is fine with other cats, but he doesn't care much for dogs.
