  1. I am all for the "diaper shower" idea. I just do not want people to think I am being selfish, or something like that. A friend of mine had a diaper shower and it was listed on her invitation some of the items she "needed" besides diapers, and someone told her that was rude. That is sort of what I had in mind. I need things like diapers, wipes, bath stuff, BOTTLES, bottle liners, and nipples. But, if I get one more clothing item or towel, I'll scream.

  2. Some of my family has mentioned giving me a baby shower. This will be my third baby, third boy. My other two are 10 and 3. I had a shower with my 3 year old, but my other was already seven when he was born and he was mine and my husbands first child together. Do you think this is appropriate? I really do not need any thing, except for diapers and bottles. I have plenty of clothes, furniture, etc. I just do not want people to talk about me behind my back or think that it is ridiculous for me to have one. Let your opinions fly!

  3. I have dry eye disease, and that sounds very similar. I use an eye doctor that is an MD, an Opthmalogist, not an Optomitrist. If you have something wrong, you can use medical insurance, not vision insurance. I have to use drops in my eyes everyday called Restasis. My eyes are very sensitive to light, and they bother me the most first thing in the morning. Your eyes are nothing to play around with.

  4. My husband and I went to Cheaha State Park in Alabama this past weekend. It was absolutely GORGEOUS! They have a lodge, cabins, and chalets. The cabins sleep up to four and the chalets sleep up to ten. I cannot remember the exact price if the chalets, and it is different depending on the season, but VERY reasonable. They You can go to www.alapark.com and click on Cheaha. I promise you won't be disappointed, and it is about an hour and a half from Paulding. It is close to Oxford, AL and Anniston, AL. If you go there, you have to eat at Top O The River in Anniston!

  5. I spoke with the neighbor and he was really understanding.  My dog is a 6 month old puppy and was probably trying to play with the sheppards that he was walking.  The neighbor got bit trying to keep the sheppard from eating my dog.  AC was called because of all the other owners that let their dogs run.  We don't, but it still happened.

Well, it just doesn't seem right. I hope it's a speedy 10 days. At least you know there are good people at the shelter taking care of your baby.

  6. This is not about a dog running loose.  A bite occurred.  It is about the safety of the person who was bit against rabies.

I would think that the person who was bit would know which black dog did it.  If there were more than one dog involved, each would have been taken into quarantine.

I wasn't trying to start a fight, I was just wondering. I just feel sorry for bwitchy, that's all.

  7. This may be a stupid question, but bwitchy said there are a lot of "black dogs" that run loose in her neighborhood. I assume by how she said that, that her dog is black. How does AC know it was not one of the other "black dogs"? I would love to know what breed it is, especially compared to the other "black dog" breeds that run loose. If my dog bit someone out of pure meaness, my husband would probably shoot it before AC could get to it, but how do we know her dog was not provoked or maybe attacked by another dog and the person who got bit got in the middle of the fight? This just seems really unfair, and I usually could care less about this kind of stuff, but this just seems WRONG!

  8. I just received a very suspicious e-mail claiming to be from Chase Credit Cards. It wanted me to "renew" my online bill pay service. It stated that if I did not have online bill pay I could "click here" and enter my SSN, Account Number, etc. UM, I DON'T THINK SO!

The Chase emblem did not quite look right, not to mention that my Chase Credit Card has not been active in YEARS, and I never had online bill pay through them. Just wanted others to beware. You can forward fraudulent e-mails to Chase at abuse@chase.com.

  9. I did not read the whole thread, so someone may have already said this.

You can call the Marshalls Office in PC. There are ordinances against many types of things like what you described in the original post. I know someone called them on my husband's aunt last week because they have some "junk" cars in their yard and they got in "trouble". They were mad, but nobody wants to look at that trash, and you are EXACTLY right, it lowers your property value. If you were to put your house up for sale, trashy neighbors can deter potential buyers. I know I check out the neighbors place before I buy a home! Good Luck, I cannot stand people who don' take care of their yards!

  10. I have a 3 yr old, and the Tylenol PM is just enough to help you rest, not knock you out. The ingredient in Tylenol PM that helps you sleep is Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride, which is nothing but Benedryl. If you wanted to eliminate the "Tylenol" part you could just take a Benedryl or two. I personally favor the Tylenol because this extra belly weight kills my back by the end of the day.

BTW - I PM'd you about the cookies!!

  11. I am having my third boy, but had he been a girl we talked about:

    Payton

Brooklynn (my middle name is Brooke)

    Sara Beth

    Ashlynn

    Rylan

    Ivey (my husbands great-grandfather)

Sara Jo (my mother and grandmother)

I still haven't decided on a name for mine either!

  13. If you live in Metro Atlanta and EVER walk outside you are taking chances with your health. Peacelikeariver, I would assume that is you in your avatar pic.? Are you not at the beach in that pic?? Do you not think that sunrays are dangerous??

Does anyone on here get your nails done?? If so, you breath the nasty fumes from the acetone and whatever other chemicals they put on you.

Get over it! As soon as a pop this baby out, I will be at the tanning bed so fast it will make your head spin.

Probably too far for you, but I LOVE Panama Tans in Villa Rica (Ingles shopping center) on Hwy. 61. You haven't tanned til' you've tanned in a stand-up bed.

  14. Bethany Abercombie at Louno Salon in Douglasville! She has been doing my hair for 10 years. I LOVE HER, and she is one of my best friends. (770) 920-2887. It is in Douglas Blvd. in front of the Home Depot in Douglasville. She also does my mom's hair (my mom will be 50 next month) and she is TOO CUTE! I can honestly say that my mother has never looked better than she has in the last year or so, and part of it is her adorable hair!!
