Thank goodness they are going to be ok. I can't imagine what a sad Christmas this would have been if things had been diffrent. The families really do have reason to celebrate this year even if one or two may still be recouping. Best Wishes to all.

Well I have slept since then and wasn't paying much attention to the time but if my mind is thinking back correctly somewhere between 11:00 and midnight I think. If you want to go to the scanpaulding acrhives and check it out you might start the time a little earlier or so. I was reading and just was not thinking about the time, sorry.

This was one that sounded like something from wildest car chases. The vehicle being chased turned down a dirt road or drive off of Mt. Olivet and went right through some gates. The deputy or officer chasing could not believe what had happened. The good guys did catch the bad guy though in the woods and took him off to jail. What are people thinking when they do something that stupid?

I just saw on Chan. 2 news and they said all clothes, shoes etc. would be destroyed. Ok a Children's home just burned down and the kids mostly teenagers lost everything. Would there be a law preventing the giving of these items to the Children's home? Probably some stinking law oh well it was a good idea anyway.

I heard on the scanner about 3:45pm 10/22 that there had been a very bad accident on Hitchcock Rd. two on the ground and one trapped in the vehicle. No life flight available due to weather and there was at least one victim that was critical. I always worry at that time of day thinking about highschoolers headed out from school. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard anything and are these folks doing ok.

Get use to the name S/Trace if you are new here. It is in Yorkville off of Woodrow Kay Road or you can get to it through the Sunset Mt. Sub off Holly Springs Road. Way to much goes on and has gone on in parts of Southern Trace.

9 out of 10 of the accidents that happen at this particular spot are stupidity rather than vision hazards. Way to fast for the curve plus it is a school zone there even though there is not a speed limit sign there is a school zone sign. One of the best things that has happened at the school is the change of entering and exiting the school enter at the south exit at the north exit, at least you can see both ways there. I do agree though that if a couple of bushes and trees were removed one could at least see a bit better in case there were to be a school bus or anyother vehicle stopped in or

There is a thread about the wreck this morning. Red Blazer and Blue Honda Accord. One entrapped that was transported by chopper. I don't know if there were other injuries. The motorcycle accident was this afternoon. Female with bad road rash. This was on Holly Springs past the school at the bad curve. There is a thread on this also.

This mornings School Bus accident with injuries. Don't know if it was just the driver or if children were involved does any one know if everyone is alright?

This same thing happened a week or so ago (different person and involved several vehicles) what is with people thinking they can just run off like that?

Sorry I did not see this post when I first came on and re ask about it. I heard this on scanner also last night and hope for the best for all involved.

I heard last night around 9:15 tone out to station 1 16yr old accidently shot PCHS then I heard chopper ready to land. I don't know if someone else has posted about this or not and I am not positive if this occured at the high school or somewhere else but since the tone out was not to secure L/Z but to go to scene it would seem that it did happen at PCHS. Anyone know anything about this? Well duh I am so sorry I did not see the top of the page when I got in here Sorry to have posted this again.

The 2nd has just been extracated from the vehicle. I do believe it was a double F. They ( the St. Patrol ) are taking statements at this time from witnesses

You probably didn't find the feed on the scanner page because it was posted on the the Paulding Co page. I always just check on this thread for emergency of scanner news but it is rarely posted anymore so I usually just check to see if it was posted on the front page or some other page. Hope you find it.

It seemed to be one bad accident west of the minor accident. The minor one may have been caused by the bad one or visa versa. All I know for sure is that the S.O. was making everyone detour at Wayside and come out on either Hulsey Town or the Western end of Wayside and the bad accident site could not be seen from the detour that is except for all the fire trucks rescue and S.O. vehicles with their lights all going.

Just came from Dallas to Yorkville saw the bird at the hospital then came upon what must have been a really bad accident traffic was being detoured there was also a couple of minor accidents just befor the big one with a log truck in median and small car way off the west bound lane to wood line. Has anyone heard anything? There was no way to know what happened due to the S.O. blocking the road and detouring the traffic. Hope everyone comes out ok.

Great job whoever caught the bad guy - the description sounds familiar though like someone that was doing bad bad around this area a few years ago. One whole red light in the entire county - right in downtown. The Judeen Drive in movie and dirt roads. Yep that is something great to remember. And here at Route 3 we knew who the bad guys were spoke to them and stayed out of their way so as not to offend them. Yes for sure paving the roads was the root of the evil I reckon.

My daughter-in-law got a call just before she left work and was told not to come down 278 that there had been a really bad accident @ Old Harris and 278 and it probably would take a while to sort it out and clean it up. I have not heard if there were injuries or really how bad it was. I had been wondering myself about it.
