  1. I have a couple of gift cards to spend, but nothing to exchange for once.
  2. I tend to like to know that what I'm doing is actually reaching the people for which it was intended. There are a couple of larger charities that I support, but most of what I do is on a more local level. I will say that I think that all attempts to help our fellow humankind are good if they are coming from the right place and for the right reasons. We all need to work more towards helping one another instead of being so egocentric as a society. JMHO
  3. We celebrated today, so we had leftovers from lunch: ham, mac & cheese, sweet potatoes, squash, etc.
  4. I've gone to Walmart a few times on Christmas Eve near closing just to watch the befuddled looks on people's faces. They truly don't know what to do when the store starts to actually close.
  5. What was the name of the mystery florist?
  6. I don't mind a little snow--makes it seem more like the holidays. This muggy tornado crap is NOT helping with my "bah humbug" attitude.
  7. I did more online shopping this year than ever before. All my orders shipped quickly and were complete. However, it does suck for those folks who were counting on these orders to finish out their shopping, especially since they waited so late to make the announcement. It seems like companies in general should have a better grasp on what is coming into inventory and what is going out instead of over-extending themselves and thus providing poor customer service.
  8. Shouldn't we be having to worry about snow storms and ice rather than being carted off to Oz by this time of year?
  9. I'm hooked. Watching the season finale now. I can't wait to see where it goes next season.
  10. That's exactly what I do. I've gotten into a pretty good habit of it now at the grocery store-- Just need to remember more often when I go to Walmart/Target/etc. lol
  11. I've grown to prefer cloth bags anyway. They hold more and are easier to handle. If they get dirty, you just toss them in the wash and air dry.
  12. Kroger carries Barnes and Noble gift cards in case you still need it.
  13. Hey! Happy Holidays to you as well! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas.
